When you believe the voice of God has spoken to your heart, no matter how clear it is, you must respond in faith. In fact, Biblical faith is responding to God's will and doing it.

Faith is not merely believing that what you want to believe will come true. It is a direct response to doing the WILL of GOD. It doesn't require money, the approval of fallen human beings, or a governing board to give you a nod of their prideful head (most of the time). You can have all of that, but if God has not spoken to you, then you are a pawn of the religious system. Even as Jesus warned us, " Beware of the leaven of the Scribes and Pharisees.

When God spoke to my heart to go to the highways and byways by bike in America, after covering 1,000 miles, I had no idea I would be embarking on my 10th country, Japan.

Join me as I cruise throughout the country and end my day at a nice hostel.

After speaking about faith at The Church of Christ Pentecostal Church in Osaka, Japan, they surrounded me with prayer. This was meaningful to me in many ways. When God chooses who prays for you, it has a divine element. Especially when they are praying in their native tongue. As I fulfill my purpose of evangelizing on my bike across various countries, I do so by sheer faith. Where I go, what I eat, where I sleep, where I speak, preach, and the souls I share Christ with.

Pray for me as well.

Why Jesus Stands Alone
When asked about other paths like Buddhism or Shintoism, William explains that while there are many man-made religions, there is only one "religion of God," which is rooted in relationship. He argues that Jesus sits in a class of his own because:
1 Validating Works: He didn't just speak; he raised the dead, walked on water, and healed the blind.
2 Absolute Claims: Jesus didn't just offer good advice; he claimed to be "the way, the truth, and the life".
3 Moral Perfection: Unlike other historical messengers, Jesus lived a life without sin
"He either is who he said he is, or he isn't. You can't have it both ways with him."

In this soul-stirring encounter captured in Japan, William Owens (The Heart Poet) shares a deep, impromptu conversation with two Romanian travelers, Bianca and Mihai, about the fundamental search for meaning and the stark difference between religious systems and a genuine relationship with the Creator.

The Journey to Discover Your "Why"
Most people spend their entire lives on a journey simply trying to find their journey, often creating excuses because they aren't yet fulfilling their true purpose. William suggests that purpose is never a "final" destination; rather, purpose begets purpose, evolving and confirming your path as you walk it.

While many look to "creation"—hugging trees or talking to rocks—to find their identity, William reminds us that since we are made in the image of God, only the Creator can truly define our purpose. He describes this Creator not as a distant force, but as perfect love.

Religion vs. Relationship
One of the most provocative parts of this discussion is William’s critique of modern religion. Growing up in the church gave him a front-row seat to why "religion" can be so damaging:
• Relationship Robbery: Religion often robs individuals of a true, personal connection with God.
• Financial Burdens: It can become a "house of merchandise," being very expensive and focused on financing lifestyles rather than reaching hearts.
• The Radical Jesus: William points out that Jesus was a radical who came to demolish religious systems, even using a whip to clear the temple of those turning prayer into profit.

A Personal Peace
William concludes by sharing his own "clincher" moment. At 21, while serving in the Air Force, he realized his life was but a "v***r" and decided to give God a chance. This wasn't a move toward more religion, but toward a tangible peace and joy that changed his life forever

Whether you're in Japan, Romania, or anywhere else on this globe, this conversation is a reminder to look past the "hijacked" versions of Christianity and seek the heart of the Creator.

# The Faith Journey: Understanding Your Path to Eternity

Learn how faith guides your journey and why it's essential for understanding God's purpose in your life. Join us as we explore the significance of faith and the journey designed for you.

As I take my journey throughout Taiwan, it's been an amazing experience. Experiences matter because God has called us to journey. In this post, I want to share insights on how journey and faith intertwine, drawing from my experiences and reflections.

# # Understanding the Journey of Faith
Faith is not just a belief; it's the fuel that propels us toward fulfilling God's will. In Taiwan, while biking through the hills, I've had the chance to reflect deeply on my path. There are two types of journeys: the ones that prepare us for our true journey and the ultimate journey God has for us. The latter requires a faith that goes beyond the material and temporal.

# # # The Two Types of Journeys
- **Permissible Journeys**: These include life milestones like education, marriage, and career pursuits. They are good but often serve as stepping stones.
- **The High Calling**: This is the journey to which God has called you, one that requires deeper faith and purpose.

Many people opt for the first type, focusing on what society deems significant. However, the true journey is about pressing into what God has for us.

# # Faith as Evidence of the Unseen
Hebrews 11 describes faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. This biblical definition emphasizes that true faith is rooted in God's promises, not in our desires for material things.

# # # Misconceptions About Faith
Faith has often been misrepresented as a means to acquire temporal desires. When faith is centered on personal gain, it loses its biblical essence. It's vital to understand that:
- **True Faith**: Is not manipulated by worldly desires.
- **Biblical Faith**: Aligns with God's will and purpose for your life.

# # The Role of Sacrifice in Your Journey
Romans 12:1 encourages us to present our bodies as living sacrifices. This act of surrender is essential for discovering God's will.

# # # Steps to Renew Your Faith
1. **Sacrificial Living**: Commit your life to God and His plans.
2. **Seek Heavenly Things**: Focus on spiritual rather than temporal matters. Colossians 3:1 reminds us to set our affections on things above.

By doing this, we position ourselves to discern the journey God has for us.

# # The End Game of Our Journey
The ultimate goal of our faith journey is not the here and now but the eternal life that awaits us. Hebrews reminds us that many biblical figures, like Moses, chose to forsake earthly pleasures for a greater reward.

# # # Understanding Eternal Rewards
- **Judgment Seat of Christ**: After the tribulation, believers will be judged based on their works, not for salvation. This is where we receive our rewards.
- **Millennial Reign**: Following the judgment, we will reign with Christ on Earth, establishing a

Every day, we swim through a sea of distractions—pings, updates, messages vying for our attention. It’s easy to feel drained and isolated, even as we reach for connection. But true renewal isn’t found in adding more to our plates, but in allowing ourselves to step back.

Stillness is a sacred gift. When we intentionally set aside the noise—even briefly—we open our hearts to God’s presence, right here and now. His voice isn’t drowned out by the world; it’s discovered in the gentle quiet.

I push through the demons

I push through the demons that seek to devour me
Cloud my mind to distract me
Cast images before my face
to doubt myself
To create unrest
Through tormented lies

Shooting arrows at my chest
Making it hard to breath in faith
Demons who want to blind me to His grace

I push through the demons
Crowding my space
Trying to suffocate hope
That makes me believe beyond belief
The strongman wanting to shut my mouth
From declaring Truth
To remove my feet from standing
Upon Truth
Jesus is The Truth

I push through these demons
It is a fight a faith
My weapons they hate
My power through Jesus is great
They know this
They hate this
Because they know through Jesus
I got this

I cast down the imagination
I rebuke this infiltration
I stand with my loins girded
I raise the shield of faith in defiance
I firmly strap on my helmet
Engraved with salvation
I unseath the sword of the spirit
The brightness blinds these demons
They scatter
Only to regroup to fight me again

I'll be ready
To fight, also
and win...
