On this third Sunday in October, Autumn is becoming more pronounced with temperatures below sixty degrees for the first time in five months. Not all was bright and breezy though: a technical difficulty put our on-screen display of hymn lyrics, responsive reading, etc. out of action. We'll start with two hymns, the lyrics will appear on your screen as usual and the scripture lesson for today is 2 Corinthians 1:18 - 22. You'll know why you should say Yes and Amen to Life, which is today's message from Pastor Peggy. Let's begin now, so tap on the link below

This first Sunday in October is World Communion Sunday, in which Christians of many nations will come to The Lord's Table and we will join them. But first we have two old favorite hymns, pastoral prayer and a lesson for the youngsters. Then Pastor Peggy Smith brings to our attention an invitation which has been extended to each of us, to attend a wedding banquet. The importance of the banquet and the results of absence is core to the message, so be sure to learn how to receive the invitation and respond by tapping the link below

As has been our practice, we gathered in the Ruth Hill Fellowship Hall to celebrate all who had a birthday in September, including special honoree Ida Smith who turned 91 today. We enjoyed a chicken dinner with the men from Loving Hands Ministry plus a cake, chocolate pie, cookies, etc. If you would like to join us, come to the little church in Blanton on the morning of October 25

We were very happy to welcome back Pastor Peggy Smith and Padre Jim and we express our sympathy for the loss of her brother Joe with a pair of fitting memorials to him. We regret that we were unable to produce video of the last two worship services, as the pulpit was adequately filled by Mr. Mike Gaylor and Binu Jacobs, M. D. each with a message from God's Word. Today we are here to worship, we start with a praise song from an LP recorded in 1972, a hymn old and familiar and another we enjoyed learning. We had a lesson for the children and for us, Pastor Peggy has a lesson from Nehemiah. Let's begin by tapping the link below

Our worship has been a bit different lately, we have no video for the worship service of September 6 owing to the absence of Pastor Peggy and Padre Jim. They have gone to be with Peggy's brother, who had become seriously ill and it is with sadness we report Joe has passed away. On September 13 we shall have a guest speaker, Binu Jacobs, M. D. who will bring us a message from Exodus 32 starting with verse 30. We eagerly look forward to the return of Pastor Smith, but we are grateful to Mike Gaylor and Dr. Jacobs for stepping into the breach, so if you be in East Pasco this Sunday, come to the little church on Spring Valley Road and meet the doctor

We would like to invite you to our birthday fellowship after the worship service on September 27, whenever in the year your birthday may be. Today we enjoyed a chicken dinner then a fine cake, ice cream and chocolate pie but best of all was our fellowship. If you're nearby on the final Sunday of the month, be sure to come to the little church on Spring Valley Road

The last Sunday of August brings us to the final installment of Pastor Peggy's Standing on The Promises or Sitting on the Premises series, and the subject is the most serious: the coming judgment all souls ultimately face. We begin with an time-tested hymn from the Cokesbury Worship Hymnal then a stirring hymn of praise before we unite in communal prayer and have a short lesson for the youngsters. Let us welcome you into His presence by selecting the link below

We're seeing the signs of summer being on the wane, sunset is now before 8:00 and we've come to the penultimate chapter in Pastor Peggy Smith's series, Standing on The Promises or Sitting on The Premises. We'll begin with two hymns, the second of which, "Down In My Heart" many of us will remember from a camp meeting or youth revival of many years past. Today's message "A New Heart and a New Spirit will draw from Ezekiel 36:25 - 26 and includes questions to deepen our understanding of the teaching.
