🚨 LIES CHRISTIANS BELIEVE 🚨
📖 Part 6: GOOD ENOUGH?
📖 2 Corinthians 10:12

Have you ever caught yourself thinking...

👉 "At least I'm doing better than most people."
👉 "I go to church more than they do."
👉 "I'm not as worldly as they are."
👉 "I'm doing alright compared to everyone else."

The problem is that God never told us to compare ourselves to other people.

In fact, the Bible says:

📖 "For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves... they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." (2 Corinthians 10:12)

This Sunday, we'll conclude our series, *Lies Christians Believe*, by exposing one of the most deceptive lies Christians tell themselves:

⚠️ "I'm doing better than most people."

In this message we'll discover:

✅ Why comparison is foolish
✅ Why God's standard is not your neighbor
✅ Why "good enough" is a dangerous place to be
✅ Why the Laodicean excuse doesn't work
✅ How to honestly examine your spiritual life
✅ Why Jesus Christ must be our focus

"Am I doing better than most people?"

✝️ The question is:

"Am I becoming more like Christ?"

📖 What does the Bible actually say about salvation?

Over the next several weeks at Trinity Baptist Church, we will be examining the five points of Calvinism (TULIP) and comparing them directly with the Word of God.

❓ Is man unable to believe?
❓ Does God choose some people for salvation while passing over others?
❓ Did Jesus die for the sins of the whole world?
❓ Can God's grace be resisted?
❓ What does the Bible teach about eternal security?

Too often, Christians accept doctrines simply because they have heard them repeated by preachers, churches, colleges, or popular speakers. Our authority is not John Calvin, a denomination, or a theological system.

📖 Our authority is the Word of God.

This Sunday, we begin with the first point of TULIP:

🌷 TOTAL DEPRAVITY
"Is Man Unable to Believe?"

We will examine:
📖 Ephesians 2
📖 John 3:16
📖 Acts 7:51
📖 2 Peter 3:9
📖 Revelation 22:17

You'll discover why we believe the Bible teaches:
✅ Man is sinful
✅ Man is spiritually dead
✅ God calls all men to believe
✅ Men can resist God's call
✅ Faith comes before regeneration
✅ "Whosoever will" still means exactly what it says

🔥 If Calvinism is right, the question becomes: "Am I one of the elect?"

✝️ If the Bible is right (AND IT IS), the question becomes: "What will I do with Jesus Christ?"

🚨 TRUTH IS NOT HATE 🚨

🌈 Throughout our culture, homosexuality is celebrated, promoted, and normalized at every turn. But the question is not, "What does society say?" The question is, "What does God say?"

📖 As Christians, we are called to love people—but we are never commanded to approve of sin.

⚠️ God's standard has not changed.
⚠️ God's Word has not changed.
⚠️ God's design for marriage and sexuality has not changed.

The world may pressure believers to compromise, remain silent, or abandon biblical convictions, but truth does not change with public opinion.

❤️ We should love every person enough to tell them the truth.
✝️ We should stand for biblical convictions without fear.
📖 We should let God's Word be our authority—not culture.

Watch this short clip and be reminded that Christians are called to stand with conviction in a world that increasingly rejects God's design.

🛑 WHAT IS YOUR IDOL? 🛑

Most Christians would never bow down to a golden statue, but idolatry is still alive and well today.

An idol is anything that takes the place of God in your heart.

📱 If social media gets more of your attention than God...
💰 If money controls your decisions...
🏈 If sports consume your thoughts...
🎮 If entertainment takes priority over church, prayer, and the Bible...
👤 If a relationship means more to you than obeying God...

Then that thing may have become an idol.

The question is not whether you have an idol sitting on a shelf.

The question is: ❓What has the throne of your heart?

📖 "Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen." — 1 John 5:21

Watch this short challenge and take an honest inventory of your life. What is getting the time, affection, devotion, and attention that belongs to God?

⚔️ WHAT IS YOUR AGAG? ⚔️

King Saul was commanded by God to completely destroy Agag and the Amalekites. Instead, he spared what God said to eliminate.

Before we're too hard on Saul, perhaps we should ask ourselves a question:

❓ What is the "Agag" in your life?

Is it a sin you've tolerated?
Is it a habit you've justified?
Is it a relationship you know is pulling you away from God?
Is it bitterness, pride, worldliness, or compromise?

Many Christians are asking God to bless them while holding on to the very thing God told them to remove.

📖 Partial obedience is still disobedience.

The things we spare today often become the things that destroy us tomorrow.

Watch this short challenge and ask yourself honestly:

👉 What is your Agag?

❓ If you died today, are you 100% sure you would go to Heaven?

In a world filled with opinions, religion, and endless confusion, there is one question that matters more than any other: Are you saved?

The good news is that salvation is not found in church membership, good works, baptism, or turning over a new leaf. Salvation is found in a Person — Jesus Christ.

📖 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." — Romans 10:13
