THE STORY BEHIND TRAPPED IN THE PIT
From Being Trapped to Helping Others Climb
For years, I found myself trapped in the wilderness of street life, going in and out of prison and continuing to face a cycle that seemed difficult to break. But while I was on the inside, I began to see something that went deeper than my own struggles.
I saw men who were hurting. Men who felt forgotten. Men serving hard time, many of whom had lost hope in themselves and their futures. I saw good people who had made bad decisions, men who were paying for their mistakes but still needed guidance, encouragement, accountability, and an opportunity to change.
I witnessed the reality of what happens when people are given tough love but are left without the support and direction they need to rebuild their lives.
And I began asking myself a question:
“God, how can I break this cycle—not just for myself, but for others who are trapped in it too?”
That question became more than a thought. It became a mission.

But I believe there is a way out.
Through mentorship, accountability, self-reflection, life skills, mental wellness, faith, and purpose, I want to help individuals begin their climb toward a different life. My mission is to reach people where they are
