And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. (John 12:20-21.)

I think if the world really sees Jesus in all of his fullness and love and mercy, they would know that he is our savior and the answer to all of the problems we face in life. Jesus is very interested in providing the needs that we have and the healing that is needed in our spirit, soul and body. His chief desire is that we be saved by the blood of Jesus and receive Christ and the promise of eternal life.

As Christians, we must show people Jesus. As a pastor, evangelist ,chaplain or as a funeral director apprentice, I have tried to show people Jesus. Jesus the Lord has used many different vehicles in my life so that I could share the gospel. I try to walk through whatever door the Lord opens for me.

I want each of you to pray with me during this time of transition, that I will be open to show people Jesus in the way the Lord would be pleased and be found doing what He has planned.

Certainly, we are to be light in the darkness. That is exactly what Jesus did on limited occasions when he might share a meal with some people that were sinners. Most of his ministry was spent in the marketplace, reaching out to others. Certainly prayer at Rock the South is needed. I’m sure many of the people at rock the south are not Christians because Christians should not participate in worldly things.

To some Christians, who might think it is acceptable to attend rock the south, I would suggest that they read the Bible.

Isaiah 5:11-13 (KJV) says, “Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink: that continue until night, till wine inflame them! And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands. Therefore, my people are gone into captivity because they have no
knowledge: and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”
The Contemporary English Version says it a little clearer for today’s English. Isaiah 5:11-13 (CEV) says, “You are in for trouble! You get up early to start drinking, and you keep it up late into the night. At your drinking parties you have the music of stringed instruments, tambourines, and flutes. But you never even think about all the LORD has done, and so his people know nothing about him. That is why many of you will be dragged off to foreign lands. Your leaders will starve to death, and everyone else will suffer from thirst.” As the prophet warns, If we don’t find Jesus then the Judgment of the Lord is coming because of sin and ignoring God and his word. Sinners without Jesus are Lost.
Jeremiah the prophet warned the people of God, In Jeremiah 2:13,” For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, which can hold no water.” Sometimes God’s people are drinking out of the wrong fountains, just like the lost by forsaking the Lord and drinking in the sins of the world!
The preceding verses describe the reality of the lost sinful world as well as Christians who are not obeying God and instead drinking out of a waterless fountain. Worldly Christians are drinking out of a mudhole. We should always realize that sinners do what they do because they have not experienced Jesus. Those that are saved and professed Christians should not be participants in music and entertainment that promote sin.

However, the good news is that Jesus helped a woman that had tried all the world offered and who was still thirsty to Know God. The gospel of John describes her as a person who had tried marriage and failed and tried false religions, and other things to try to satisfy the longing and emptiness of her life. Jesus loved her and spoke truth to her at a public well where people came to get water. In the gospel of John 4:13-14, Jesus answered and said unto her, “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman after receiving Jesus and the living water of salvation left her waterpots at the well and took the well of living water to the entire city. Inside this woman was now the power of the Holy Spirit that changed her forever as well as all the city that received Christ because of her testimony,
This promise is extended to all people today. John 7:37-38 proclaims,” In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth in me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” This living water of the Holy Spirit quenches the longing that all of us have inside and gives us life.

As a teenage boy I was depressed and lonely. There were times I felt I had few true friends. Then Jesus filled my soul with God’s power. He satisfied the inner longing of my soul. Since I was 15 years old, I have been singing and preaching about God’s wonderful life-giving power through Jesus. Jesus loves you and he is the answer to all our needs. Ask Jesus for a drink of the living water and you will never thirst again.
Jesus is the Rock that the South really needs.

I saw my good friend Rev. Larry Brown, the pastor of Living Faith Baptist Church today. As usual, we preached back-and-forth to each other for several minutes and then I received a gracious invitation to preach at Living Faith Baptist Church this Sunday night July 21 at 5:30 PM. Please be in prayer for the services that God will give me the message to preach. If any of you need a place to attend church that night, please come and be with us.

I applaud any effort by any American to make our nation better. The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2. “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

Since Christianity is the greatest movement in the history of the world, we as believers have the responsibility to be light in the darkness.

Real Christianity looks beyond celebrities. At an Elvis Presley concert once, a group of people held up a banner that said, “Elvis is King.” Elvis stopped the concert and told the crowd that,” Jesus is the King!”

Real Christianity will focus on the “real “great I am”, Jesus Christ our Lord. All other misplaced honor is idolatry.

If our focus is on exalting Christ, then this will change the world! If our passion is on Jesus, we can take his saving healing power to the world and save people one life at a time.

Political movements will come and go. I try to vote my conscience to make America more reflective of my Christian values.; But the only savior of the world is Jesus. We should spend our time and energy making Him known. He is to be Exalted!!

Jesus came to start a spiritual kingdom in the hearts of people. As we go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit, we as Christians have the power and love to make a difference in the world. Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world”. (John 18:36) Jesus also said,” The kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:21). We are Jesus witnesses and Jesus welcomed all people everywhere to follow Him.

While our country is not perfect, America’s foundations were based on the Judeo-Christian ethic. We are an exceptional nation that historically has had many Christians and leaders that have influenced our American institutions to honor and reverence God and follow his commands.

As long as our nation honors God, then God will bless our nation.
Politicians who honor God are a blessing and I highly respect and pray for them.
However, there is political corruption that exists in all political realms.

Please be aware that a political solution only without God will not save us. We are to pray for our leaders that they will lead us in the right ways and support those who honor the Lord.

Without Christ America cannot be saved. Jesus will never mislead us, and our allegiance must be entirely to him. He is the King of Kings and to Him belongs all glory and honor.

People want to follow someone they believe in and trust. God in his mercy and for his purposes spared Donald Trump’s life. However, Trump by his own admission is not God or the Messiah. So please don’t ordain him as such. God can use Trump as he did the kings of Israel in the Old Testament, but he is only a man, and certainly God does use men and women in his kingdom. The danger though is in our zeal we place politicians and preachers on a pedestal. Then we find out they are only human and make mistakes then we are disappointed. We must focus on Jesus.

We are commanded in scripture to pray for all in authority in the government. (1 Tim 2:1-3.) We should also pray for President Biden. When we see God work in his life we should also rejoice. Just remember, no person in a position of authority will ever be able to please all those individuals in whom they serve. There are no perfect presidents or perfect preachers that exist today.

The events that we have seen played out in our country shown on our nightly news broadcasts reporting on the political events, is really a revelation of a spiritual battle. It can only be won as believers get on their knees and intercede and pray for God’s deliverance.

Remember, God is the only one that can save America and political movements come and go. But it is Jesus that is the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords. As long as our government follows God it is a good thing, but we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. (Hebrews 12:2)

Righteousness, exalts nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34.)

The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. (Psalms 9:17)

For God, so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Whether you love him or hate Him. He exhibited courage and compassion:He said after the assassination attempt ,”I want t...

Whether you love him or hate Him. He exhibited courage and compassion:

He said after the assassination attempt ,
”I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

This young lady is one reason that I am here today. She has prayed with me, wept with me, been my personal confidant, and has been and is my best friend.
She has sacrificed a lot of time with me over the years as I have been called out in the middle of the night to minister to others for over forty years.
This next week we will be camping with our two Mississippi grandchildren who we don’t see as often as we would like. They set aside next week to be with us.
Sabre Freeman and I love to minister to others but next week we are shutting everything down for each other and our grandchildren.
Did I tell you we have three boys and fourteen grandchildren? Well we do!
Thanks Sabre! None of this would be possible without you.❤️

To all of you, that have been wounded doing ministry for the Lord, please remember the words that the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy.

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
(2 Timothy 1;6-7)

The apostle Paul wrote these words to Timothy, realizing that he had gone through many battles. He wrote to him saying he was aware of his tears. He knew that Timothy was very discouraged.

But Paul also realized that Timothy had a great solid foundation built into him as a young Christian minister, largely because of the Christian influence of his mother and his grandmother. Paul recognized their faith was the real thing.

Paul’s hearts desire was to lay hands on Timothy, and impart to him a rekindling of the flame of God in his life.

Paul also gave a word to Timothy. It was an encouraging word. Paul told Timothy that God had not given him the spirit of fear, but that he had given him power, love and a sound mind.

The spirit of fear causes people to hold back from using the gifts that have been given to them by the Holy Spirit. In other words, they are timid about using what God has imparted. Many ministers feel this way, because they have failed in someway or another, but God is a restoring God. God is merciful God. God knows our weaknesses. He will help us overcome our struggles. He gives us gifts to overcome life’s challenges. The Spirit helps our infirmities. (Romans 8:26)

These gifts are “power”. In the Greek, it is the word, Dunamus. This word means the “ability of God.” The Holy Spirit within us as believers is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. It is the power that is given to Christians to minister for the Lord .It is soul winning power. It is power to demonstrate the life and ministry of Jesus, in this present world. (Acts 1:8)

These gifts are love. The Greek word for love here is “Agape.” It is the love of God that loves when it is not loved back. It is the kind of love that Jesus demonstrated on the cross .Jesus said father forgive them, for they know not what they do. It is unconditional love.

Also these gifts are a sound mind The Greek word is “sophronismos”. It means a disciplined mind. We must act on God’s words and not our human emotions. A sound disciplined mind feeds the word of God into our spirit and soul. Our spirit is renewed by the word of God. Our inner man (spirit) is renewed daily. Our soul,(mind, will, and emotions) are reprogrammed and renewed by the word of God. We act on the word by faith rather than our feelings and our discouragement.
When we view things, according to the word of God, then we are looking at things the way that God looks at things.

Jesus restored Simon Peter, who denied the Lord three times publicly in one evening. (John 21:15)

Paul restored Timothy when he was a young, discouraged pastor.
(2 Timothy 1;6-7.)

Barnabas restored John Mark after he quit the ministry on a previous occasion.
(Acts 15:36-40.)

Priscilla and Aquila helped Apollos preach the word of God in its fullness.
(Acts 18:18-28.)

This word today may be to a discouraged Christian. It may be to a minister of the gospel, who failed God, and now feels that they are no longer useful in the kingdom.

Remember this, the grace of God that saves you is also the same grace to restore you, if you have fallen after your conversion.

Pray and get a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit and go do what God called you to do to start with.

If I can help you get started again send me a private message or call me.

God still wants to work in your life to bring in the harvest in these last days. There’s someone else that may benefit from your failures and your restoration. God is not finished with you yet! Press on!
