Question from Devotion today, Have you ever struggled to share something important with someone you care about? In my own personal life I have struggled with this. You see I love Jesus and I know He loves me and the world. Yet sometimes it is hard to share that with those I really care about because of fear or I don't want to hurt our relationship. This really struck me. If I say I love them then why won't I share the most loving thing I know. I have learned over the years that sometimes it is just a fear of how to tell them with our sounding preachy. Perhaps you have felt the same way or maybe not, but if you have here is a simple prayer to help us through these situations.
"Lord, You know how much I want to share You with the people I love. I want to share the most important thing in my life but some of these relationships are fragile. Give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to just love. And when I do speak, let me do it with the kind of gentleness that makes people curious rather than defensive. Thank You for caring about my friends even more than I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
