Each spring, as a way to remind the previous year families that they and their babies have not been forgotten, cards are sent.

This Sunday a Catholic Mass is being offered for all 28 families. We pray that all these families feel the love and comfort knowing, we still remember them and their babies and their stories. That healing can come slowly. That miracles do happen even today through the loving hands of our Father.

And if you are still awaiting a rainbow baby, know He is still good. ❤️

Lord- you haven’t given us an easy life, but we pray for strength to endure the suffering.

I love that St. Gianna (whose feast is today) is known for saying -- and living out the motto of "Whatever God wants." She's a great saint for that. I know that's the way to follow Christ. It mimics His own prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane. But I don't want us to think that St. Gianna's prayer and choices were effortless, sweet and without difficulty. A prayer like that never is. And I think we sometimes think the path towards sainthood is sweeter or easier than it really is...

But it is sanctifying. It is refining. It is picking up your cross and following Him. It's doing maybe the hardest thing you've ever done, but doing exactly what He's asked you to do.

Some days, "Whatever God wants" looks like accepting an interruption in your day to love the person in front of you who needs it.

Some days, "Whatever God wants" looks like accepting your dreams will not come true.

Some days, it's an easy thing to mutter and other days you don't want to say it at all.

Whatever kind of day it is for you today, may St. Gianna intercede for you. May her intercessory prayer encourage you today to believe it's worth it -- to want what God wants.

This line from the Litany of Trust comes to mind during Holy Week... Maybe because this week reminds us that God's plan is bigger than we can understand, and is at-work even when we can't see it.

Lord we lift up to you B & K. We ask you to come into their pain. Lord, some days it seems the crosses are larger for some, we don’t know why nor do we understand your ways. But this evening we ask you to make your ways know, we ask you to open the door to hope. They knock, waiting for you to open wide the door. We know they long for the children they never got to hold, the children that filled their minds and hearts with plans and dreams. But Lord, we do know those babies are waiting in heaven for them. May the little children in heaven go to God the Father and ask for a miracle. Can you deny the requests of a child. The faith of a child. We lay all of their grief and sadness and hopelessness at your feet Jesus- take care of it all. Amen. 🙏🏻 💔

Today we lift up H & C. We ask you Lord to be with the in their grief, their little boy suffered and went home to be with you, we know his joy is complete in heaven. Sadness earth side and be hard to endure, we ask you to be their strengths in the ups and downs of this life. Give them the hope of one day holding their little boy again. Soothe the pain they feel deep with in their hearts, that may come and go but never fully leaves. Be what they need in the hole that’s left in their lives. We give it all to you Lord, Amen. 🙏🏻
