We are a parish family united in Jesus Christ pressing onward to the Kingdom under Saint Michael the Archangel’s patronage. Journey with us.

Saint Michael Church has a rich history dating back to 1872. Over the years it has been blessed with the service of numerous dedicated priests and parishioners who have provided a strong faith foundation and physical complex for us to engage ourselves in living and proclaiming our faith.

🗓️ Last night, the Young Adults (18-35) of St. Michael’s met for their October gathering. The theme for the Scripture & Service Night, in anticipation of All Saints’ Day was: Honoring Our Patron, St. Michael the Archangel.

🙏 After praying over the Gospel passage of the Beatitudes from Matthew 5, the group shared reflections, graces, and thoughts about the passage and its meaning. Recognizing the call for everyone to become saints, they reflected a little bit about All Saints’ Day as well.

🥪 Then, the group moved into the cafeteria to put their faith into action and make sandwiches for St. Joseph’s Social Service Center. Over 100 sandwiches were lovingly prepared, blessed, and sent off to those in need as we extend the goodness and mercy of God that we’ve all first received.

‼️ The Young Adults will meet again on Wednesday, November 18, at 7PM in the Youth Ministry Rooms of St. Michael School for their November gathering. The Scripture & Service Night, in honor of the month of All Souls, will include lectio-divina and prayer for deceased relatives and friends. Then, the group will make and send cards for local grieving families. All supplies and postage will be provided. Mark your calendar and bring a friend!

❤️ We are so blessed to have a growing Young Adult Ministry here at St. Michael’s and look forward to journeying together and forging bonds to keep us united in the Lord. For more information on the YA ministry and to stay in the loop about future gatherings, contact Fr. Andrew at: [email protected].

🗓️ Last night, the OCIA Group gathered for a night on “Praying with the Holy Eucharist.”

✝️ After a presentation by Fr. Andrew, Eliza, one of our parishioners and OCIA Team Members, offered a brief reflection on the Eucharist in her life. Then, the team gave an orientation to Eucharistic Adoration.

🙏 The group then came together in prayer and spent a period of time in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The evening was one of deep reflection, prayer, and encountering the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. As the OCIA group continues this journey, we are all reminded that Jesus desires to be close to us, to nourish us, and to draw us ever more deeply into relationship with Him.

❤️ Please keep our catechumens, candidates, and OCIA Team in your prayers! May the Lord strengthen us to persevere together on this journey of faith, grow ever closer to Him, and become true disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ in all that we say and do.

‼️ Remember: every second MONDAY at 7PM, our parish family is invited to come together for our monthly Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration. Through silence, prayer, reflection, guided meditation, and music, we spend time with Our Lord who is with us in the Holy Eucharist. Fr. Andrew leads us in this monthly devotion that is always gracefilled. Mark your calendar for our next Holy Hour on November 9. All are welcome!
