Frontier Missions is a division of Hands of Hope Ministries with an assignment to establish and strengthen prayer ministries throughout the Body of Christ. "For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; in every place incense shall be offered to My name, and a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations,” Says the Lord of hosts.—
Malachi 1:11
Paul was a “pioneer missionary.” He said of his ministry, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase…” (1 Cor. 3:6) Though our assignment is different in this season, our vision is the same—that “in every place incense shall be offered” night and day…that His name would be exalted among every tongue, tribe and nation, the Great Commission fulfilled and the Bride prepared for His Return. We “plowed and planted” in intercession at Remnant House of Prayer in the city of Coweta for seven years, but we believe our assignment in this next season is to train and prepare to be “sent out” to pioneer houses of prayer in other regions, possibly even on one of the Indian Reservations that we have prayed for over the past seven years. I am taking graduate classes at UMKC in Education Curriculum and Instruction to develop a forerunner arts curriculum that can be used in after school programs and houses of prayer. I have connected with ministries at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, recently plagued by suicides and alcohol related deaths, and am agreeing with them in prayer for school(s) of ministry to train up the young ones to "catch the dreams" of God's heart and find and fulfill their unique purpose in Him. Vanessa’s Prayer Mandates:
Native American Mandate
After nearly 500 years of evangelism, less than 5 % of Native Americans are Christ-followers. We believe the answer is not to mobilize a movement, but to erect a “prayer siege” (Ezekiel 4) that will remove rocks of offense, heal hearts, repair breaches (Isa. 58) and restore broken relationships, while lessening resistance to the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been prophesied that the spiritual awakening of the Native people will be a key to revival in our nation. Our vision is to support Native ministries by covering them in prayer and to pioneer (train and lead) intercessory missionary teams who will establish night and day prayer ministries in (or near) boarding schools and on reservations across the U.S. Forerunner Mandate
God is raising up a generation of forerunners who will be a voice of clarity in the midst of the chaos of the coming storm. Our goal is to equip this generation in the knowledge of God and the power of the Spirit for the bold proclamation of the Lord Jesus and His saving power. They will have the spirit of Elijah, turning the hearts of the children back to the Father by communicating the beauty and truth of Jesus. Having immersed themselves in an environment of intimacy and intercession, they will boldly declare the Father’s heart and the urgency of the hour to a depraved generation. (Philippians 2:15)
For the past 7 years, we have taught children ages 8 – 18 these 7 Forerunner Commitments—Pray Daily, Fast Weekly (from tv/games/media/candy), Do Justly, Live Holy, Give Extravagantly, Speak Boldly and Lead Diligently. Whether I am in Coweta, OK or Kansas City or on a reservation, I will continue to train and disciple forerunner messengers from the place of night and day prayer. Leadership Mandate
As long as Aaron and Hur held up Moses’ arms, the battle was won. (Exodus 17:11-13) I am committed to “hold up the arms” of pastors and ministry leaders from the place of intercession. This includes but is not limited to pastors, worship leaders, small group leaders and deacons. Some our partners also include an elementary principal, a community intercessor, a counselor for troubled teens, a mother who leads a parent-teacher organization, a sign language interpreter and services coordinator for the deaf, a graphic designer for large ministries, a nurse who is also a young adult pastor, a police officer that is also a youth pastor, a university professor, and several business owners in the marketplace. As an intercessory missionary, I seek to provide vital prayer covering for those leaders and their families who are in the field and “on the front lines”. As the Lord leads, I send verses and words of encouragement to inspire and strengthen leaders. Evangelism
We believe that evangelism is most effective through night and day prayer as we pour out our lives before Jesus. Effective and anointed evangelism is the natural overflow when a person’s heart is alive with intimacy and passion for Jesus. Anna the prophetess “served the Lord through fasting and prayer”, but she was also one of the first evangelists in the New Testament who “spoke of him to all who were seeking redemption.” As we seek to connect with the heart of the Father in the place of prayer, He will empower us to witness in the power of the Holy Spirit. I remember one powerful meeting at RHOP when we interceded for Native Americans and for those who work in and go to casinos. The next day I was at the gym when a young man came up to me and began to confess his sin and I was able to pray with him to receive Christ. He was also the manager of a casino! This is the heartbeat of Frontier Missions—to one day be in the prayer room talking to God about people and the next day in the “streets” (or grocery store or gym) talking to people about God. Creativity Mandate
And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.–Joel 2:28
Paul said that it pleased God the Father to “reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles…” (Galatians 1:16) That word “preach” simply means to “express Him”. The “Spirit of prophecy” is simply giving testimony of Jesus (Rev. 19:10) I believe that God is pouring out His Spirit in these last days on forerunner messengers who will “express Him” through writing, art, music, media, etc. One of my prayer mandates is to pray for these creative artists/forerunner messengers who will “prophesy” by giving testimony of Jesus through their creative gifts.
