Friends, I could not be more excited about our theme this year: Peace! Be Still!

Becky and I are asking the question, "When did you last answer the call to come and be still?" I don't know about you, but stillness has been difficult in this season of my life.

We are inviting you to join us for our Women’s Silent Ignatian Preached Retreat. We will gather together June 19th-22nd at the beautiful Cenacle on the Lake!

I want to remember this flower. I was leaving a retreat today and was placing some of my big worries into God’s hands and looked to my left to see this singular lily. In Matthew 6, Jesus invites us to consider the lilies that neither toil nor spin.

As a spiritual director, I often ask, “What is yours to do, what is God’s to do, and what is ‘theirs’ to do?”

God help me not get ahead of what is yours to do— to not toil and spin. Even when the doing is done in me, it’s God’s to do. Your grace arrives always right on time.

PRAY ALL WAYS
Are you looking for meaningful prayer practices?

Virtual Presentation
Presenter: Stephanie Clouatre Davis
Wednesdays: Feb. 5, 12, 19, & 26 2025
6:30-7:30 pm

We invite you to join us as we learn to pray in several different forms that will bring your prayer to life! Steeped in the 500-year-old traditions of St. Ignatius of Loyola we will grow our spiritual strength through various habits of prayer. We will explore the Examen, the Colloquy, Imaginative Prayer, Prayer of Consideration, Lectio Divina and more. These are incredible short prayer forms that can be used daily to strengthen your relationship with God and bring an increase of faith, hope, joy and peace to your daily life. These are prayers that everyone can do, even you and me.

A new prayer form or two will be introduced each week and we will practice it for that weeks’ time. Presenter, Stephanie Clouatre Davis, is an Ignatian-trained spiritual director and retreat facilitator. She is on the staff of The Archdiocesan Spirituality Center and an associate with the Dominican Sisters of Peace. In her more than 26 years of ministry, she has directed hundreds of retreats and spoken at many conferences for adults, teens, and young adults. Stephanie spends many of her days walking with people in spiritual direction. She lives in Covington, Louisiana with her husband.

Consider a guided Examen for your new year!

It’s hard to know where we are going if we do not fully understand where we’ve been. Ignatian spirituality invites us to look at our past with God’s help in order to better understand where we are. This process of reflection illuminates where we are now, and it offers insights on what we are called to as well.

As we look ahead to 2025, I invite you to use this Guided Annual Examen to take a look back over the last year with God’s help.

Merry Christmas! May the joy and peace of Jesus be with you all. Here is a Christmas Blessing from our founder, Becky Eldredge:

May our minds be opened to further understand where we need Christ’s light in our lives.
May our ears be opened to hear the words of Christ calling us to make room for Him in our lives.
May our eyes be opened to see all the ways Christ is being birthed into our lives.
May our hearts be opened to receive the hope of the light of Christ in our lives.
May our bodies embrace the deep bone understanding that we are not alone because God is with us in our lives.
May our hands and feet carry this Good News to all we encounter in our lives.
May our mouths open and bring messages of faith, of hope and of love heralding the reason for joy in our lives.

In our new series, Finding Hope When It's Hard, we will focus on how Ignatian prayer methods, principles, and discernment wisdom has helped us grasp hold of hope during times of crisis and suffering. This series isn’t about a specific topic such as grief or addiction, but rather how we can navigate through those difficult knee-dropping moments by leaning on the wisdom of the Gospel, Catholic Church, and Ignatian spirituality.

In this post, When It is Hard to Get Out of Bed, Stephanie Clouatre Davis shares her insights on using the Ignatian Rules of Discernment during times of desolation.
