Ephesians 2 begins with a sobering reality: apart from Christ, we aren’t merely sick, broken, or in need of improvement—we are dead in our sin.

We follow the ways of the world, the enemy, and the cravings of our own sinful nature. And because of our sin, we stand under God’s righteous judgment.

But God.

Those two words change everything.
“Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy…” — Ephesians 2:4

Our sin is great, but God’s mercy is greater. Our rebellion is real, but God’s love is greater. We were dead, but God makes us alive in Christ.
That is the glorious grace of the Gospel.

Our very own Caleb Gill is leading this ministry, and they need 8 DOZEN COOKIES to share at Tuesday morning coffee events and upcoming meal gatherings as students return to campus.

👉 Bring your cookies THIS SUNDAY and drop them off at the Eastridge Atrium Café.

One batch of cookies can become an opportunity to build a relationship, start a conversation, and share the hope of Jesus with a college student.

GREAT IS JESUS

In Ephesians 1, Paul lifts our eyes above our circumstances to see the greatness of Jesus. Writing to believers in a city surrounded by idols, power, and spiritual darkness, Paul reminds the church of the purposes of God in the position of the saints, the power of the Spirit, and the paise of the Son.

And just as Ephesus once shouted, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”, we proclaim something far greater and eternally true:

GREAT. IS. JESUS.
