I am not judging. I am weeping. I understand one of the root causes of the s*xual sin that we are now seeing being exposed in the Church. The moral failure we are seeing in Christian leaders and beloved spiritual fathers is heart-breaking but necessary because Jesus is coming soon and He’s coming for a pure Bride, the Church. I am writing this piece to raise awareness on the connection between s*xual sins and unhealed childhood s*xual abuse wounds, and I base it on the experience I have as a five-time survivor of childhood s*xual abuse and founder of a ministry whose mission is to promote healing for survivors of s*xual abuse. It's National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Our team from Tin Man Ministries met actress and advocate Ashley Judd, a guest of the Human Trafficking Prevention Breakfast held in Massachusetts. She shared the following stats (also listed in yellow picture below). Approx 85% of victims are also victims of childhood s*xual abuse. Approx 85% of runaways are met by a trafficker within 24-48 hours of being on the street. Approx. 88% of buyers are white, middle-aged men with a salary of 100k or more. Approx 84% of trafficked persons is not by choice. Ashley is a survivor of s*xual abuse and an a bold advocate for the survivor of s*x trafficking, which she adds, is also s*xual abuse. www.tinmanministries.com
