How dare we... This is a plea for help in the midst of a torrent of need, pain, hunger-but time marches on, and for our terminally ill patients there is all the weight of the world on their shoulders plus their own waning days - as their time runs out. The call of nature is very strong ,it's amazing fresh fruit, a breeze on the cheek, a truly dark sky for a meteor shower, a fish swimming by-nature. Our non-profit ministry had a successful program activity where we begged or borrowed or mostly rented (at $2,000 per outing) houseboats -rigged them to accommodate wheelchairs or crutches ,stowed our oxygen and more-but were able to thrill and allow a sacred experience never imagined -Each patient received a tailored experience -each patient enjoyed something special that unexpectedly touched them and our 3 day outings were priceless and the most rewarding-the most successful programs in our 27 years of service.
We had maintained a ongoing fundraising program for the purchase of our own vessel -used and re-fitted to accommodate the specific needs of our patients and their caregivers. Our trained crew both aboard and road support are all volunteers.
We have needed to re-direct some of the funds raised for our Boat of Comfort & Joy -"The Flying Cloud" (we are the Lighter-Than-Air Ministries) Circumstances found us needing to offer emergency loans for family relief, medical assistance and food for families but we MUST get this magical program going again and cannot predict the repayment of loans or any institutional assistance once promised. .With each patient's passing, we realize we have let this person go without offering a moment of grace known to make a difference and introduce them to that river of life..
So...if you are of means, we ask your help -our goal has been $50,000 since our project was first conceived so long ago. (The boat a 46" Chris Craft Aqua Home is $25,000 as there is $10,000 in repair, upgrades, and safety necessities-permits, insurance and transportation and berthing. We had raised over $13,000 until covid changed our priorities Now we know we must act-the virus has limited those facing the final limitation -and we know that we shall come to our aid -join us as we make a real difference -Chaplain Hale

"Dying alone" -just writing those two words ,dying alone, fail to convey the horror of this predicament -The carefully crafted hospice "experience" the decline post diagnosis,treatment and palliative care program are measured responses and for those with family, supportive friends there was a important and necessary role-comfort, reinforcement- a recognition that you did exist, and still do. Now the confinement, the isolation, the rapid decline is endured -alone- alone to reminisce, remember, cry, and wait. In no way is this merciful, medical systems triage patients, and when "all that can be done" is done -you go alone. "Goodbye" at the end of final phone conversations -that final "Goodbye" sticks in my mouth,my brain and I shall never forget then pressing a button on my phone to "end call" forever. The virus is killing us, be there for your friends and family -in any and all ways you can-

Thank You for your Kind Support for this Ministry and now our unexpected popular "Chapel of Dreams" (over 60 requests for our interpretation in just 3 weeks -Thank you Kate, Sandy and your wonderful groups) -Yes this ministry has had some rocky moments -with misguided elements -veiled abusers of trust and their calling -now banished - Many of their wrongs are rectified -some may never be - the "dirty" money processed and then stolen from our merger treasury -hidden from our view- Yes once discovered ended a sad series of circumstance- I must admit my own poor judgement allowing our Ministry to be compromised by drug addicts and thieves -as I had left on sabbatical I had been approached and asked to "Give them a chance" to keep the good works of this ministry going-even if on a much smaller scale -their flattery and false statements of affection and caring -devotional proclamations made their presentations of what seemed to be innovative ideas of interest backed by pretended good intentions -instead -these were diversions. Once made aware circumstances demanded I returned to serve again, while also serving in the fight versus the virus's wake of grief and sadness. Be it known, I now know the extraordinary reprehensible behaviors that used the Ministry's good name -unbeknownst by me and am sorry for whatever Karen and Sid did -and our systems, our management methods now renewed Since this Ministry began on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta Mexico in 1993 -our efforts were true and guided by grace-but when corrupted morally and financially we failed -The Grace given our mission never failed us and now 27 years later we stand humbly on the hilltop in service again-Note Please make us aware of any information this ministry should have- I have contacted all who we know were effected but the craftiness of these abusers but their outlandish efforts makes others likely (gulp)

Well, The "trump" bribe to faith-based organizations -SBA "loans" are not happening-well the Catholics ,rather than sell some of their 50 blocks in NYC- (they wouldn't sell to settle child-rape settlements either) getting theirs-No resources available to our ministry of service -due to the fact that we have no money, (catch-22) "you can't have a loan...because you have no money" that we have dispersed every nickle into the community -now our "Letter of Denial" from the Small Business Administration finds us "underwater" -yes we have overspent with hope of help influencing our decisions to serve in the face of Covid-19 rising still-sorrow being left un-checked by faith based organizations-grief once again discarded-mental health funding is being challenged -Evangelicals you get a taste.to "open-up" your temples of doom - "Gather in my name-and die" Now, I have -from the announcement of this bribe -I've questioned the legality of our government participating in religion in any way-but now -their discriminatory practices are in play here again... So our shortfall's may never be met, with each day we become less effective (my own services in support of public health still "volunteer" as that other funding "pending" ) our resources spent and even our spirit requiring a daily bracing to be effective. Please understand, the worst is yet to come, and we need to prepare ourselves ...and the republicans see no more stimulus necessary...see you in the breadline...10 ft apart -the line will stretch from Minneapolis to Ferguson to Oakland -people will riot for food- trump has reinforced the fences, called up his black shirts,brown shirts- shock-troops all preparing for anger against his own citizens-as he golfs (fiddles) as our people die. God help us all

The Golden Rule- The only rule needed- This ministry has served those in despair -people in grief , in shock, lost , alone and now, as the world continues to turn- the institutional deprivations of our time-moral actually revealing itself as strategic -to subjugate the "have not's" -What authority can plan to create hunger , limit freedoms, "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" being challenged- The Golden Rule is being assaulted,dirtied and our freedoms are being challenged-Please each of you who follow our ways, consider our challenge- Now is the time to affirm which side are you on- Please maintain, yet be prepared to transplant-
