The struggle is real 😂

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God…” — Ephesians 4:30

The lyric video for “Deeper Than the Ocean” is up.

This one comes from a place of realizing that no matter how far we run, strive, or search…

God’s love was never something we had to earn.
It’s deeper than we can reach,
and steady enough to hold us when everything else gives way.

If you get a chance to watch it, I hope it meets you where you are.

More to come. 🌊

There’s a point where striving runs out…where chasing, climbing, and holding it all together just isn’t enough. This song is about what we find there—not the ...

The warning to the church of Ephesus was not simply about losing emotional passion or “warm feelings” toward God.

Jesus commended them for their discernment, endurance, and rejection of false teaching.
(Revelation 2:2-3)

Yet He still said:

“But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.”
(Revelation 2:4)

Biblical love is not merely affection directed upward toward God while our hearts grow cold toward people.

Jesus said:

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart…”
AND
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
(Matthew 22:37-39)

Even those who oppose us are not excluded.

“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
(Matthew 5:44)

It is possible to defend truth while losing gentleness.
To expose error while losing mercy.
To stand for holiness while no longer reflecting the character of Christ.

The call to Ephesus is a call for the Church to come back into alignment with Jesus Himself.

Truth and love were never meant to be separated.

“Speaking the truth in love…”
(Ephesians 4:15)

Jesus warned that it is possible for a person to be full of darkness while believing they can see clearly.

That is what makes deception so dangerous.

Not blindness…
but blindness that thinks it has light.

We can become so confident in our opinions, traditions, assumptions, or experiences that we stop allowing the Word of God to correct us.

The Pharisees knew Scripture, yet failed to recognize the One Scripture was pointing to.

May we never become too certain to slow down, humble ourselves, and let the light of Christ expose what is truly in us.

“The eye is the lamp of the body… If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!”
— Matthew 6:22–23

“Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.”
— Psalm 119:18

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.” (John 8:12)
Then He turned to His disciples and said, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14)

That’s not a contradiction… it’s a calling.

The moon doesn’t produce light.
It reflects it.

And it only shines on the side that is facing the sun.

In the same way, our light isn’t something we generate—
it’s something we reflect.

But here’s the part we often miss:
it’s not just about being close to Christ…
it’s about facing Him.

You can be near and still turned away.
You can be surrounded by truth and not reflecting it.

Our light directly correlates with our relationship with Him.
The clearer we see Christ,
the more accurately we reflect Him.

When we turn toward Him—
His character, His Word, His heart—
His light becomes visible through us in a dark world.

He is the source.
We are the reflection.

So the question isn’t just… are you near the light?
It’s this:

Are you facing Him?

We’ve read this verse like we’re under attack.

But Jesus never said the gates would come after us.

Gates don’t move.
They don’t pursue.
They don’t attack.

They hold things in.

“The gates of hell will not prevail…” means they won’t be able to withstand what Christ is building.

The Church isn’t retreating.
It’s advancing.

And what’s been held in darkness… won’t stay hidden.

There was a time I was looking for God everywhere else…
in experiences, in moments, in something I could feel.

But the whole time, He had already spoken.

Not as silent ink on a page…
but as something living. Breathing.
Something that corrects, restores, and reveals His heart.

This song, “Deep in Your Word,” is an invitation—
not just to listen… but to dive in.

To go beyond the surface.
Beyond the shallow places.
And discover the depth of what God has already said.

📖 “The unfolding of Your words gives light…” (Psalm 119:130)

If you’ve been searching… slow down for a moment.
Open the Word. Sit with it.

You might find what you’ve been looking for
has been there the whole time.

Everyone has an opinion about God.
Few actually open His Word.

We quote what we’ve heard.
We repeat what sounds right.
We build beliefs on fragments.

But the question is simple:
Have you read it for yourself?

Not a verse.
Not a highlight.
Not someone else’s explanation.

The whole counsel.

There is depth you haven’t seen yet.
There is context that changes everything.
There is a God revealed in pages we often skip.

Don’t settle for secondhand faith.

Leave no page unturned.
