We're LIFEchurch and we're located in Eastern Iowa. We have campuses in Coralville, Cedar Rapids, and Wilton. You can stream our services live or watch videos of our past services on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/LIFEchurchIA. Our Sunday morning service times are:
Coralville/Online: 8:30, 10:00, 11:30
Cedar Rapids: 10:00

We provide full services for kids, at our Sunday morning services, including age-appropriate worship and bible lessons for all kids (3 months through 6th grade) because we believe there is nothing little about a child’s faith.

Our Botswana GOteam has made it to Gaborone!

After a long journey and a few unexpected travel challenges along the way, the team has hit the ground running.

They’ve already had opportunities to worship and serve alongside local churches, encourage ministry leaders, share their own stories and faith, and jump into some hands-on projects.

This is one of the things we love about GOteams. We don’t simply send resources—we get to show up, serve alongside people already doing meaningful ministry, build relationships and see firsthand what God is doing in another part of the world.

Keep Pastor Penny and the entire team in your prayers as they continue their time in Botswana. We can’t wait to share more of their story as the week continues.

Rich knew he had made a rookie mistake when his four-year-old climbed onto a $200 scooter at Toys R Us.

The plan had been one small toy. Instead, Rich found himself trying to pry a toddler’s “full-grown gorilla” grip from the scooter while other parents walked past.

Giving his son a good gift wasn’t the problem. Teaching him that getting everything he wanted would make him content was.

We can carry that same assumption into adulthood. Wanting more isn’t automatically wrong. We can hope for more stability, a better opportunity, or nice things. Contentment isn’t wanting nothing. It’s refusing to make our peace wait for the next thing.

We can be grateful if more comes and still trust that Jesus is enough today.

“I haven't read the Bible in over a year.”

Chris said those words in a men's small group in his basement. On the outside, he was working at the Englert Theatre and helping plant LIFEchurch. Inside, he felt stuck, dry, and disconnected from God.

Saying it out loud did not solve everything. It did end the pretending. Later, the desire to seek God began to return, and Scripture and prayer became a path back to God rather than more knowledge to collect.

The faithful step at the wall may not be trying harder. It may be telling the truth and letting someone stay with you there.

Why do we send GOteams?

It’s never about doing something local leaders can’t do—Botswana is full of gifted, capable people! We go because:

• The gift is presence. Simply showing up, linking arms, and being there.
• Transformation goes both ways. When we step out in faith, God transforms our hearts just as much as those we serve.
• We see a bigger picture of God. Meeting our brothers and sisters across the world lets us experience a whole new side of His face.

Yesterday morning, we got to commission our team heading to Gaborone, Botswana this Wednesday! They’ll be serving alongside Chi Alpha at the University of Botswana and helping out at a local Bible college.

A huge shoutout to Glenda, Sherry, Chastity, and Erin, who are all stepping out on their very first GOteam trip! It takes real faith to step out of your comfort zone—especially leaving the country (and for Erin, leaving her 4 kids back home!) to follow God’s pull on their hearts.

Join us in praying for Sherry, Glenda, Cindy, Penny, Chastity, and Erin. Pray for traveling mercies, soft hearts, and a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit as they go!

They were the brains, the muscle, and the heart behind the Rainforest!

Lesly (Wilton), Nicole (Coralville) and Michelle (Cedar Rapids) led the preparation, the serve teams and the children at each campus in fun and meaningful experiences each week of KIDventure.
