Behind every Sunday morning is a group of people with their own stories.

Teachers. Nurses. Students. Business owners. Parents. Tradespeople. Creatives.

They spend their weeks serving in all kinds of ways, then show up on Sundays and generously use their gifts to help lead our church in worship.

This is just a glimpse of the amazing people behind the songs. Grateful for each one of them. - Josh

If you are looking at your life right now and everything feels like itโ€™s spinning out of control, it is incredibly easy to lose your grip on hope.

When the unexpected hits, the chaos can feel loud enough to drown out everything else.

On Sunday, we looked at the story of Navy veteran and commercial pilot Tammy Jo Shults. In 2018, her passenger plane suffered a catastrophic engine explosion mid-flight. Debris tore through the fuselage, fear took over, and the aircraft began to dive.

But amid the terror, Tammy Jo got on the intercom and delivered a steady, clear message to the cabin: "We're going to Philly, and we will land there safely."

Later, a passenger told her something we all need to hear: "Having a destination gave me hope."

As followers of Jesus, we have an ultimate destination. This world, with all of its painful turbulence and unpredictable seasons, is not our permanent home.

When you know where your soul is securely headed, it completely changes how you live today. It shifts your priorities and grounds your heart, even when the circumstances around you feel incredibly shaky.

If you are navigating a heavy or chaotic season right now, please don't carry it alone. Reach out to us here as we would love to lift you up in prayer: https://lifechurchnow.churchcenter.com/people/forms/706346.

Serving our community isn't just something we do one day a yearโ€”it's one way we live out the love of Jesus every day.

We're grateful for everyone who participated in Servolution, and we believe the impact can continue long after Saturday. Take a look at these local nonprofit organizations that joined us for Servolution, explore the great work they're doing in our community, and consider how you might continue serving throughout the year.

If someone looked at your calendar, your phone, your finances, and your closest relationships, what would they say your life is built on?

That was the kind of question Rich brought us to on Sunday from Colossians 3.

As you start this week, ask the Holy Spirit to show you what needs to be stripped off and what needs to be put on because:

Mercy looks good on you.
Kindness looks good on you.
Humility looks good on you.
Love looks good on you.

Yesterday, 110 people from LIFEchurch partnered with Houses Into Homes to assemble 20 dressers, 20 box springs, and 17 tables.

In one morning, we completed about three months' worth of work while putting our faith into practiceโ€”serving, caring for, and investing in our community.

Every piece of furniture will help turn a house into a home for someone in need.

At some point, we all experience a subtle shift where our focus drifts away from depending fully on Jesus.

We often turn to things that aren't inherently badโ€”like working harder, planning ahead, or trying to stay positiveโ€”but when those become our primary strategy for surviving a heavy season, they often fail us.

As we looked at on Sunday, true peace doesn't come from making Jesus a "seasoning" for our own self-sufficiency, but from shifting our focus back to dependence on Him.

Where are you running out of your own strength right now, and how is Jesus inviting you to lean on His?

05/27/2026

When life becomes too heavy to carry in your own strength, Jesus cannot just be a small spiritual boost. We need Him as our foundation, strength, hope, wisdom, comfort, and Lord.

What do you reach for when life hurts?

Control?
Blame?
Escape?
Trying harder?

On Sunday, Rich reminded us from Colossians that pain can make us vulnerable to counterfeits. They promise relief, but they cannot become our hope.

Jesus was never meant to be spiritual help sprinkled on top of life. He is everything.

So this week, bring an honest question to Him: Am I trying to manage my pain, or am I trusting my Savior?

If you need someone to help you process what that could look like, weโ€™re here. Reach out to us.
