🌼🩷✨ THE EXCELLENT WIFE ✨🩷🌼

I’ve been reading The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace, and one thing I’m really appreciating is the reminder that being a godly wife isn’t about becoming some perfectly polished Proverbs 31 robot who wakes up at 5:30am, bakes her own bread, has a spotless house, never gets hangry, and greets her husband at the door looking fabulous every night. 😂🌸

It’s about character. 💜 It’s about becoming a woman who is…

🌷 Trusted
🩵 Kind
🌼 Wise
💖 Generous
🛠️ Hardworking
✨ Not afraid
🦋 Good to her husband
💐 Respectful to her husband
🌈 And above all else… fears the Lord.

And THAT is the one that gets me. 💥💗

Because ultimately, becoming an excellent wife isn’t primarily about becoming better at “wife-ing”. 😂 It’s about becoming more like Christ.

The closer I grow to Jesus, the more that should overflow into the way I speak, the way I respond when I’m frustrated, the way I serve, the way I encourage, and the way I respect and love my husband. 🩷

Martha Peace continually brings it back to this: your marriage is another place where God is sanctifying you. 🌱✨

💜 “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”
- Proverbs 31:30

It’s not about perfection or performance.

It’s about:
🌼 Faithfulness.
🦋 Character.
✨ A heart that fears the Lord.

That’s the kind of wife I want to keep becoming. 🌷✝️

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I have hope in Him.” — Lamentations 3:24 (NASB)

Joy is found in Jesus ✝️

The world tells us that happiness comes when everything falls into place. Scripture teaches something far deeper: contentment comes when we realize that Christ Himself is our treasure.

The prophet Jeremiah wrote, “The Lord is my portion.” In other words, God is my inheritance. God is my provision. God is enough.

When Jesus is our portion, we can be thankful even before we know what comes next. We can worship in the waiting.

We can choose joy, not because life is perfect, but because the One who holds our life in His hands is perfect.

My life may look smaller on the outside, but my heart is so full. 🥰

Full of gratitude. 🙏
Full of hope. 💛
Full of joy. 🌻

Because Jesus is my portion. ✨

⏰ Before the emails… 📧
📰 Before the news…
😮‍💨 Before the stress hits…

🙏 Talk to God.

Because the moment the world wakes up
🌎 it will try to hand you
😰 anxiety
😵‍💫 stress
😔 worry.

But prayer isn’t your last resort.

🛡️ It’s your first line of defense.

Put on the armor of God before the battle even starts.

⛈️ Storms may come.
💨 Pressure will happen.
🌊 Life will try to shake you.

But when your life is built on Jesus…

🪨 your foundation doesn’t move.

🌅 Start the day with Him.
⏳ Everything else can wait.

📖 Ephesians 6:11
📖 Philippians 4:6–7

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” — James 5:16

There are battles we can’t fix with words, advice, or effort.

The most powerful place you can fight for your family is on your knees.

🙏✨

Psalm 46:10 is often quoted as:
🕊️ “Be still and know that I am God.”

But in the NASB, it reads:
🔥 “Stop striving and know that I am God.”

That’s not a softer version -
it’s actually closer to the original Hebrew.

The word translated “be still” or “stop striving” is:
‎📜 הַרְפּוּ (harpū)

It means:
✨ to let go
✨ to release
✨ to drop your grip
✨ to cease fighting
✨ to stop resisting
✨ to abandon your attempt to control

This isn’t passive calm. 💛 It’s active surrender.

Then comes the second command:

‎📖 וּדְעוּ (u·de‘ū) — “and know”

This isn’t just head knowledge.
It’s recognition through trust.

🌿 In other words:
Release control and recognize who is actually God.

✝️ “Stop striving and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (NASB)
