I thought of you as I watched a YouTube video about a feel-good hormone called oxytocin. It's a built-in anxiety buffer, and this episode is for you if you're interested in making more of it.
Oxytocin is a fascinating survival hormone your body produces when it perceives a threat — and it buffers stress and reduces fear. But here's what makes it remarkable: your body also releases oxytocin through kindness, touch, laughter, and simply being with people you love. It stabilizes mood, reduces inflammation, improves sleep, and helps balance your nervous system.
In other words, the antidote to anxiety and stress may already be living inside you — waiting to be activated.
On the Anchored Not Anxious Podcast, Episode 75, explore how the good that pours out of your heart onto others doesn't just bless them — it releases oxytocin in both of you.
You are not without resources. God placed good things in you for a reason.
A small act done with great love makes a huge impact. That's your slogan. Take it and live it out.

You’re the one who remembers Dad’s medications and your kid’s deadlines and the thing at church and the bill that’s due.
You are the safety net for a lot of people. So let me ask the question nobody asks you:
Who takes care of YOU while you’re busy taking care of everyone else?
I’m asking because I think some of us genuinely can’t remember the last time we were on our own list.
Jesus gave us two priority commandments: Love God with everything in us and love your neighbor as yourself.
Did you catch the second command, “love…yourself”?
Loving yourself includes self-care. Attention to self-care can keep at bay bitterness, resentment, and frustration as you care for others.

"Tired" doesn’t quite cover it, does it?
What kind of tired are you today — body-tired, soul-tired, or a tired that sleep doesn’t even touch?
Sometimes we can fix our tired with a nap. Then there’s a tired that goes deeper — you sleep eight hours and wake up still carrying it.
Matthew 11:29 says, Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (NLT)
Jesus speaks to the exact tired most of us are living in — rest for the soul, not just the body. The yoke (burden) of Jesus helps a restless soul in need of care. You are more than flesh and bones. How do you restore rest to your soul? ↓

The most important work happening in you right now is probably invisible from the outside.
What is God growing in you that no one can see?
Patience forged in a hard year. Faith stretched thin by uncertainty and you’re trusting anyway. Compassion you only earned by being broken first. Unseen but no small feat.
1 Samuel 16:7 says, “…The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (NLT)
God’s been quietly working the part on you and your inner beauty is amazing.
What has He grown in you lately that no one else can see? ↓
