The Holy Spirit came in full force and this crowd was locked in. God was on the move and provided supernatural stamina to make this weekend absolutely packed — soaking in every second for our short time there. This weekend quickly became a once in a lifetime experience.

This prophecy in Isaiah 11:1-2 of the coming of the Messiah reveals the full ability of the Spirit of God granted to Jesus Christ. This authority that Jesus Christ walked in was not simply an endowment with the freedom to do whatever He wanted to do. True heavenly Authority manifests through three keys including the equipping of the Spirit, a mind connected continually to the Spirit, and finally a heart that has the same mind of God. Jesus didn’t function simply by what He was given. When Jesus went to the Jordan River and was baptized in The Holy Spirit and the Dove came upon him from heaven, (Matthew 4:16)
Jesus demonstrated the “rod” that was prophesied in Isaiah 11:1. A rod is a prophetic symbol of authority. The authority manifested by Jesus was not simply based on who He was, but hearing the Voice of God and executing the will of God. Faith comes from hearing the Voice of God and then executing the command. Self-willed acts, no matter how righteous they appear, are dust in the wind and will not produce fruit. Faith is a spiritual impartation of the Holy Spirit (Romans 10:17)
Authority in the same manner, is released into the situation by people in the right place, at the right time for the right purpose. Everywhere Jesus went, the authority of heaven dominated the environment. It was not a biblical principle that fed the 5000, delivered the demoniac who was chained to the tombs, awakened the woman at the well, or raised Lazarus from the dead. It was Jesus being in the right place at the right time with the right purpose. Jesus didn’t function from a biblical principle. Jesus dwelled in prayer and came out of prayer with a battle plan given to him by The Spirit. This battle plan is the will of God and when executed releases heaven on earth.
