WE LOVE CHILDREN! We want you to feel comfortable keeping your children with you during the worship services. In fact, we ask them to come forward for a children's sermon each week. We encourage you to grab a few books or a Worship Activity bag for your children, located just outside the parlor or the sanctuary doors. We also offer nursery care for ages infant to five years each Sunday morning, which allows you to worship and participate in the education and fellowship hour as your children enjoy time with others their age. Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained to offer Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties.

Summer at Overbrook is almost here! ☀️

Beginning in June and continuing through July, we’ll gather for one combined worship service each Sunday at 10:00 am.

Throughout the summer, our worship spaces and music offerings will rotate between the Great Room, the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and the great outdoors! Each week you'll enjoy a unique and meaningful worship experience.

Through worship, we come together to give thanks and praise to God. It’s a time to reflect, connect, sing, pray, and be reminded that none of us walks this journey alone.

Whether you’ve been part of our family for years or you’re looking for a welcoming community to worship with this summer, we’d love to welcome you to Overbrook.

Did you know that children are always welcome at Overbrook? 💛

Church is their place too. We are a community where they are valued, loved, included, and called to serve alongside the rest of us.

We love welcoming children into worship every Sunday. Wiggles, whispers, and wondering are all part of the joy of worshiping together as a church family.

On Sunday, Overbrook families spent the Fellowship Hour making new friends during our Adopt a Prayer Puppy event. 🐶💛

Kids picked out a plush puppy, created a collar and cozy bed, visited our “vet,” and officially adopted their new companion. Each child also made a special promise to hold their prayer puppy every day when they pray.

It was such a joyful afternoon filled with creativity, laughter, imagination, and meaningful conversations about prayer and faith. Events like this are a beautiful reminder that faith can be nurtured in simple, memorable moments shared together as a community.

We loved seeing so many smiles and can’t wait to see you at our next family event!

THIS SUNDAY! Social Justice Community Meet and Greet

Voices for Social Justice at Overbrook Church is a faith-based organization dedicated to advocating for social justice through education, action, and aid.

Driven by the growing challenges facing neighbors experiencing poverty and marginalization in our community and beyond, we are building stronger connections with local organizations, partners, and community members to respond with compassion, coordination, and care.

If you or members of your organization are interested in learning more and possibly collaborating with us, please join us for a Meet and Greet on Sunday, May 17, at 3:00 P.M. The event will be held at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, located at 4131 N High Street.

Together, we can address immediate needs, support vulnerable neighbors, and create a more connected and responsive community.

Friday is Hollywood Jesus Movie Night at Overbrook!
Join us for food, film, and fellowship as we screen the comedy-drama, Holy Days.

Accompanied by a young boy, three unconventional nuns embark on a wild and chaotic road trip across New Zealand to retrieve the deeds to their convent. When an unexpected snowstorm derails their journey, they soon find themselves confronting loss, mortality and the transformative power of love, forgiveness and connection. Holy Days (2026) is rated PG for thematic elements, smoking, and mild language.

After the movie, we’ll break down the moral themes, theology, and whatever other interesting things we notice.

Fellowship time begins at 7:00 pm and the opening credits roll promptly at 7:20 pm. Movie snacks, light hors d’oeuvres, desserts, drinks, and comfy chairs will be provided. Friends, neighbors, and dates are always welcome! Hope to see you there!
