Crow Guitar Works: Guitar Lessons Guitar Lesson Company run by Kenneth Lawson Crowder. Lessons will be held once to twice week depending on client preference. Lesson minimum will be one hour.

Lessons will include learning chords, theory, scales and how scales and chords work together. Must have own instrument. Will provide teaching aids. Lessons will be held at West Columbia Pentecostal Holiness Church 2310 Platt Springs Road West Columbia, SC 29169. Willing to travel to accommodate clients. Enquire for price rates. As it stands I have mondays, tuesdays, fridays, saturdays and sundays open. Throughout the week I can.teach until 7 at the church and I can travel if,needed.

This afternoon's lesson was so rewarding, God showed me just how much I really know about guitar and music and how capable of a teacher I really am. I look forward to more lessons, its been building slowly but im seeing the increase. Im shooting for the stars with this business. Tip of the day: when dealing with guitar theory and the notes on the fretboard think of it like the alphabet, in written music the alphabet begins with A and ends on G and starts back over with A. With sharps and flats in between except for the intervals between E and F and B and C. There are no sharps or flats between E and F or between B and C.

Tip of the day: when playing your own improvised leads over music, dont just play mechanically around scale patterns, trust your gut. Play with soul because no matter how many scales, etc you know. If you dont play with your heart and soul it will sound forced and less organic. Dont be afraid to step outside the confines of what you know. Experimentation leads to learning. God bless!

Both lessons I had this afternoon went swimmingly, my students seem to be very receptive. Starting with another student next thursday. Should be ordering business cards before the end of the week!
