Heart4Schools

Heart4Schools Heart4Schools is a network of churches serving students and teachers in South Carolina. In December 2020, there are 389 known partnerships across the state.

Volunteers serve as Reading Buddies or mentors, offer teacher support and encouragement, and/or provide food for children in need through Backpack Buddies ministries. This initiative was birthed by the South Carolina Baptist Convention in 2013 to help provide reading support for elementary students. nt, and/or serving as Backpack Buddies (providing food for those with food insecurities). Our goal is to connect every school in South Carolina with a church that loves and serves them well. We also work to provide support, resources, training and encouragement to the churches serving schools. This page was created:
1) To provide opportunities for sharing the work that God is doing through our local churches
2) To provide opportunities for networking among churches and encouraging each other
3) To provide stories, information and posts that can be shared with your friends to create more awareness for the needs for church/school partnerships. We encourage you to share our posts with your friends to spread the mission of Heart4Schools. As you share and post please remember:
1) If you post pictures of students, be sure that you have parental written consent.
2) Do not post any promotions for personal businesses or hobbies.

When does YOUR district start back to school? Eighteen of our districts start back in July, with SIX of them starting NEXT week!! WOW! Where did the summer go?!

SC Department of Education "knocked it out of the park" as they provided two TLC Days to resource, encourage, and inspire teachers as they prepare for a new school year. What an awesome privilege for our SC Baptist churches to be able to support this event. Teachers heard that they were seen, loved, and appreciated!
