Michel first joined the school as a preschool student. This year, at 20 years old, he returned as a member of the teaching team.

Just weeks before the opportunity arose, Michel had prayed that God would provide a way for him to dedicate his youth to serving the Lord and his community.

Today, while studying systems engineering at university, Michel leads spiritual development for students from age three through high school and oversees sports and technology programs. His love of soccer has also given him opportunities to build relationships with children and young people and share God’s Word.

The preschool student has become the teacher—and is now investing in the next generation of children growing up in the same community that helped shape him.

A week of camp, connection, and fun in Peru!🇵🇪

From July 12–19, a team of 20 from Lakepoint Church traveled to Peru to serve approximately 150 students across all of VisionTrust’s Peru programs. For 12 members of the team, this was their first mission trip!

Each morning, the team led VBS before splitting into rotations where students played games, made Bible verse bracelets, and learned about important health and hygiene topics like germs and preventing the spread of illness.

The team also created a new math center and refreshed the reading center, leaving behind resources that will continue benefiting students after their trip.

We’re so thankful for the Lakepoint team and the joy they brought to Peru!

Did you know VisionTrust was founded in 1997? 🌎✨

What started as a desire to serve vulnerable children and communities has grown into a global ministry reaching children around the world. Our first programs began in the Dominican Republic and Southeast Asia, and we are humbled to have seen God expand our reach to so many more locations over the years.

We are incredibly grateful for every child served, every community impacted, and every person who has partnered with us along the way. Your prayers, generosity, and support have been an essential part of this journey. 💙

As we look ahead, we are excited for all that God has in store and the lives He will continue to transform. Thank you for being part of this mission with us.

A Week in Guatemala! 🇬🇹

From July 18–24, Encounter Church Encounter Church joined VisionTrust in Guatemala for a week filled with service, connection, and plenty of joy.

The team hosted VBS for children at Cruz Blanca, spent time praying with and encouraging local teachers and staff, installed water filters throughout the community, and had the opportunity to experience more of Guatemala along the way.

It was a meaningful week of serving alongside local leaders and building relationships with the community.

28 people. One week. Countless opportunities to serve.

This past July, the Faith Bible Church Youth Team traveled to the Dominican Republic with VisionTrust for a week of serving and sharing God’s love.

The team of 28, including 24 youth, spent their mornings leading VBS for children from preschool through age 9. They also helped continue a kitchen expansion, added netting over gardens, and painted a basketball court wall.

We’re so grateful for the joy, energy, and willingness to serve that this team brought to the DR!
