Church family,
This year, we have been incredibly blessed to lower the cost of camp for our students, and one of the biggest ways we were able to do that was by setting up serve days at Camp Palestine!
Our upcoming serve days are May 22nd and May 29th.
This Friday, May 22nd, we will be serving from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. We will have the church van ready for anyone wanting to ride with us out to camp and help prepare the grounds and dorms for our students.
This Friday’s focus will mainly be:
Cleaning dorms
Checking appliances
Organizing and cleaning kitchen cabinets
General camp preparation and cleanup
We know this is short notice, and some may not be able to stay the entire time or arrive right at 12:00. That is completely okay! Anyone wanting to help is welcome to come and leave at different times throughout the day. The camp will only be open for volunteers from 12:00–6:00 PM.
If you plan to ride with us for the full day, we ask that you arrive at the church around 11:45 AM so we can get everyone organized, pray together, and go over the plan for the day before heading out.

This is important not only because of the partnership and cost savings it provides, but even more because we are preparing a place for our students to encounter God. There will not be any camps before us this season, meaning all the work we do will directly prepare the camp for our students.
One thing about Strike Zone is that we may not be perfect, but we always strive for excellence. We want this camp experience to be excellent for every single student who attends.
For our May 29th serve day, we will likely be doing mowing, outdoor work, and additional camp projects, so we’ll definitely need some helping hands for that day as well!
