💬 TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY 💬
Question: Does my loved one need a suit?
👔 Answer: Not necessarily.
When making funeral arrangements, families sometimes feel pressured to choose a suit or formal attire. But the most important thing is to remember who your loved one was and how they would normally dress themselves if they were still living.
If Dad was most comfortable in his favorite polo shirt and slacks, that may be the perfect choice. If Mom loved her favorite dress, jewelry, or a particular color, consider dressing her in something that reflects her personality. If your loved one was a jeans-and-sneakers person, it’s perfectly okay to honor them in that style.
Their final outfit can be more than just clothing—it can be a reflection of their life, personality, comfort, and individuality. ❤️
At Sanders-Thompson Mortuary, we believe every farewell should be as unique as the person being remembered. Our goal is to help families make choices that feel personal, meaningful, and true to their loved one.
🌹 Talk About It Tuesday is here to provide resources, information, and answers to the questions families may have—because knowing your options can make difficult decisions a little easier.
