For my daughter's Bat Mitzvah we gave her my Tallit that was given to me as a gift before I went to Israel to study. It is a beautiful cream color with accents of purple. I thought this would be pretty to embroider on the tallis bag for her. She will always know it's hers. Stay tuned for the final product!

In Adar we celebrate the holiday of Purim. We read Megillat Esther, the story of Esther, and celebrate that the we once again our lives were spared because of the brave actions of Queen Esther. We celebrate by wearing costumes, having a carnival, eating Hamentashen, and listening to the story of Esther. Do you have a favorite part of the story? Do you have a special Hamentashen recipe? Rosh Chodesh is a minor holiday celebrated once a month to recognize the beginning of a new month. Literally meaning Head of the New Month, is based on the cycle of the moon. This month we celebrate Adar and look forward to Purim. On Rosh Chodesh we add special prayers, Hallel, Psalms dedicated to the celebration of Rosh Chodesh and other holidays.

This tallit was gifted to my student by his grandparents. He did a wonderful job and will always be able to find his tallit.

I did not make the tallit bag, tallit or kippah,but did the embroidery. It came out beautifully! Let me k iw what you think. Do you like the font? Would you rather see a more traditional Torah font or script?
