As we continue our individual walks with Christ, we learn new tid bits of information. Today I learned that King Saul and Saul of Tarsus are NOT the same person. Instead Saul of Tarsus aka "The Butcher of Taursus" became the Apostle Paul. He shared the gospel in Turkey, Rome, and Greece, and is believed to have wrote a majority of the New Testament.

What little new information have you learned?

There is hope. I don't know who needs to hear this today, but there truly is hope. You are not alone. You are loved. You are needed and wanted.

Hope is the expectation something will happen. All you need to do is hope. Jesus is the answer to hope! He renews you. He strengthens you. He absolutely never fails you. But most importantly, He loves you. He is the answer to hope. Actually, He IS hope! Just read Titus 2:13.

Be blessed!

Communication is an art form. Many can do it right, while others just don't get it. Jesus does more than hint upon our methods of dealing with others concerning communication. He specifically mentions loving the other person. He states we should turn the other check. Most importantly 2 Timothy 2:25 mentions needing to be kind, not resentful or quarrelsome. Instead we must gently instruct our opponent.

Here are some tips on proper communications:
1. Be patient and simply listen to the other persons argument.
2. Repeat what you heard to avoid miscommunication.
3. Inderstand this person genuinely believes they are right, so explain in simple terms.
4. You might be wrong. Rethink your argument if lacks merit.
5. Delivery is crucial! Think before speaking, watch your volume, use appropriate tone as to not sound angry or be passive aggressive.
6. Finally, be genuine when you apologize. Don't apologize bc you have to. Do it bc you now know you were wrong and Wang to make things right.

Be blessed, my friends!

Especially in this Christmas season, let us all lead with love, empathy, compassion and grace for one another!

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

When the spirit of the Lord is in us, suddenly the impossible becomes possible. That is because nothing is impossible for God. And if He dwells within you, nothing on this earth can stop you from what God has set aside for you. You'll struggle, yet You'll overcome. You'll feel weak, yet He will strengthen you. You'll see people try and bring you down, but He will lift you up and make you victorious in your battles.

How do you get the spirit in you? It's simple! Prayer, fasting, read the Bible, and apply its teachings to your life. This is how you seek out the spirit. When the time is right, the Holy Spirit will come.

Be blessed, my brothers and sisters!

Be still and know that I am God (Psalms 46:10).

Be still-stop
And know-recognize
That i-the person talking
Am God-is creator, ruler over all, Alpha and Omega, the one and only, almighty, powerful, the only one capable of ALL things

So when your mind starts going in the wrong direction and you begin to fear. Remember Psalms 46:10.

Unfortunately, we are not all God's children. I hate to break it to you, but its true. Only those who believe in and accept Jesus as lord are considered a child of God. That's because those who believe are working toward living a righteous life as God wants us to live, while everyone else is just living life under their own sinful terms. Seek God and believe and christ=child of God. All else does not qualify for this title. It's a hard pill to swallow. I know!

Every Christian goes through the highs and lows with our faith. We go through our phases of hot and cold in the church. And we sometimes lose our battles against sin.

The question I impose on you is this. While you may have forgotten where the righteous path is, Jesus has not. Where do you think Jesus is when you "forget" your way?

I know the answer. Do you?!

UP IN THE MORNING BEFORE DAY!!!

A brotherly reminder that it is God who TRULY plans our footsteps in this life of ours. We can plan all day long, but as faithful followers we will walk the path God has laid out for us. So don't be surprised when our plans fail us.

Stay faithful and be blessed!

A Calling

The organization began in 2016 when it went from an idea to a possibility. The idea went from veterans praying and helping others, to a Christian Veterans Corps (CVC) doing good deeds for its community, providing assistance for veterans with addictions and mental health through group-like counseling, and peer support services. The fun part of this is that a rank structure was created to provide a sense of organization which will provide purpose, direction, and motivation to veterans seeking somewhere to fit in. God has called us all to spread his word to all people. He as provided us with a purpose. The bible says, “Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches (1 Corinthians 7:17)”. As veterans, we at time feel like we no longer serve a purpose after our military careers. We end up spending years trying to find value in our lives again, and sometimes to no avail. The CVC hopes to change that for veterans. We seek to spread the love of Jesus Christ to all whom are willing to listen, while providing a great service to our nations veterans. This is our true call to arms, using the word of God as our sword to fight off the enemy, and the love of Christ to win the people over!
