An aunt stepped forward when her nieces and nephews needed her. She welcomed them into her home even though she didn't have enough space.

Now her family has suddenly grown, and she needs to find housing large enough for everyone.

Her backpack could include:

Today, we honor every worker, caregiver, volunteer, and servant whose labor reflects love, dignity, and faith. May we also embrace rest, gratitude, and renewal.

🎒FILL THE BACKPACK🎒

Five Families. Five Barriers. One Community Helping Them Move Toward Stability.

Every September, our community rallies to make sure children have backpacks filled with pencils, notebooks, crayons and everything they need for school. ✏📓

This year, Love INC Cuyahoga County is asking you to help us fill a different kind of backpack....

Because sometimes the thing a child needs most for back-to-school isn't something inside their backpack.

🏠It's a safe, stable home to carry it back to.🏠

Right now, 5 families in our community are facing very different circumstances.

An aunt opened her home to children who needed family — and now needs a home large enough for all of them. 🏘

Parents are rebuilding financially after an extraordinary year-long NICU journey with their baby. 👶🏻🍼

A mother escaped domestic violence with her children and is starting over. ❤️‍🩹

A single mom made a difficult employment decision so she could regain essential healthcare coverage, leaving her struggling to keep up with basic household expenses. ✝

And a mother who has experienced homelessness is working toward stable housing so her children can return home from foster care. 🆘

Different stories.

Different barriers.

But the goal is the same:

‼️STABILITY.‼️

Throughout September, we're filling 5 backpacks — one for each family.

EVERY donation will help address specific barriers such as housing deposits, rent, utilities and other needs standing between these families and greater stability.

But this campaign isn't just about paying bills.

It's about helping people move forward.

It's about families staying together.

It's about children having a safe place to sleep.

It's about a mother starting over.

It's about creating breathing room after crisis.

And sometimes, it's about helping a parent unlock the front door and finally say:

“You're home.” 🏡

Partnership creates pathways for long-term growth.

When churches participate, hope becomes sustainable.

Before we respond, we want to listen.

Not just to the request.
But to the story.

What happened?
What has been tried?
What support exists?
What barriers remain?
What strengths are already present?
What next step would actually help?

Listening slows us down.

But slowing down can be sacred.

True charity does not rush past the person to solve the problem.

It honors the person by listening well.

At Love INC, listening is part of the ministry.

Because people are not problems to process.

They are image-bearers to love.
