Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer Join Caring Individuals' 5th Annual 2 Mile Walk on June 20, 2015. Walk with us to help raise awareness about resources available in and to our community.

The Caring and Sharing Ministry of Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church along with community leaders and churches in Ward 1, invite you to join the fight against breast cancer. By participating in our 4th Annual Caring Individuals-Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer Walk and Run, you can help save lives. We are raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness in Northeast Ohio, by working with the Northe

ast Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness and bring resources to support breast cancer education in Greater Cleveland. Recent studies show higher than average numbers of African-American women are dying from breast cancer in Northeast Ohio. While the reasons may vary, other communities with the same number of cases, see far fewer deaths. Part of the difference is breast cancer awareness, access to resources, early detection, and access to follow-up medication. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death among African-American women, surpassed only by lung cancer. Your support of the Caring Individuals-Stepping Out Against Breast Cancer Walk is one example of how, working together, we can make a difference in fighting breast cancer in the Greater Cleveland African-American Community. Please support the Second Annual Breast Cancer 2 mile Walk and 5K Run, on Saturday, May 19, 2012 @8:30 am.

The 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Walk is right around the corner, and scheduled for May 18. Same Day Registration begins at 8:00 and the Walk Steps off at 10. Don't miss it. There will be Community Organizations sharing their resources, along with the Shaw High School Band, Steppers, Color Guards and so much more. All for the benefit of people struggling with Cancer in Northeast Ohio.

Thanks for everyone who joined us on Saturday May 19 for our Second Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. We had a fabulous time, raised money, increased awareness, and brought resources into our community. Great Job everyone. We will keep you posted for next year's event.
