I grew up believing my worth was measured by how much someone needed me. My value felt tied to my “yes”—to what I could carry, fix, or give. And honestly… it didn’t get better with time. It just got louder.

But God is teaching me this:

My “yes” is not the price of relationship.

Healthy love doesn’t require me to earn my place.
Real connection doesn’t crumble when I say “no.”

Learning this has been hard, but I’m finally realizing that saying no isn’t betrayal—it’s healing.

If you struggle with this too, let me say this clearly:

This isn’t holiness.
This isn’t loyalty.
It’s unhealed trauma.

Your nervous system is just responding the way it learned to survive.

But you’re safe now.
You’re growing.
And even if it feels uncomfortable, you’re not doing anything wrong.

The sun will rise again tomorrow.
Your relationships won’t collapse.
And you will be okay.

You’re allowed to rest.
You’re allowed to say no.
You’re allowed to be loved for who you are—not what you do.
