CHARACTERISTICS OF COMPROMISE!!!!

1) JUSTIFYING WRONG

Isaiah 5:20

Calling evil good and good evil.

2) PARTIAL OBEDIENCE

1 Samuel 15:22-23

Saul obeyed partially but rebellion was still rebellion.

3) PEOPLE PLEASING

Galatians 1:10

Trying to please people instead of God.

4) FEAR OF REJECTION

John 12:42-43

Some believed but wouldn’t confess Christ because of the Pharisees.

5) LUKEWARMNESS

Revelation 3:15-16

Neither hot nor cold
Playing both sides living for the world and for God.

We need to be able to see this spirit and we need to make sure it’s not in US!!!!!

To my City of Praise family,

Thank you all for your faithfulness in holding down the fort while we were away. We truly appreciate your commitment, your service, and your dedication. This time away was much needed, and God met us in a powerful way. He spoke to us, refreshed us, and gave us greater clarity concerning the days ahead.

I am pleased to say that City of Praise is doing well. As I listened to the various speakers, it became evident that we are aligning well with the heart of God. There are a few areas that will need to be strengthened and addressed, and we will do so together, but overall, we are on target with what the Lord is saying to His Church.

Prepare yourselves for a greater level of teaching, equipping, and training. God is preparing us to carry out our assignment with greater capacity, greater excellence, and greater effectiveness. As my role as Apostle continues to shift, many of your roles will also begin to shift. This next season will require growth, maturity, flexibility, and a renewed commitment to the vision God has entrusted to this house.

We will be placing an even greater emphasis on evangelism, ensuring that our youth are discipled and firmly rooted in Christ, strengthening our unity, demonstrating the love of God in practical ways, and becoming a healthy, mature, and powerful people who accurately represent the Kingdom of God.

I love each of you deeply, and I am genuinely excited about what the Lord is doing in and through City of Praise. The future is bright, and I believe we are stepping into one of the most significant seasons of ministry we have ever experienced.

Be encouraged. Be strengthened. Be blessed. And get ready to prosper, soar, and fulfill everything God has ordained for your lives.

Today we want to take a moment to honor and celebrate Pastor Brandon and Tia Maxwell.

Thank you both for your unwavering dedication, countless sacrifices, endless prayers, and the genuine love and compassion you pour into God’s people. Your commitment to serving the body of Christ goes far beyond what many see. Through every encouraging word, every prayer, every act of kindness, and every moment spent ministering to others, you reflect the heart of Jesus.

We are grateful for the countless hours you invest in shepherding, teaching, guiding, and loving this church family. Your faithfulness does not go unnoticed, and the impact you have made in so many lives is truly immeasurable.

The Bible says in Galatians 6:9, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Thank you for continuing to labor in love and for being faithful servants of God’s Kingdom.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, bless your family, enlarge your territory, and pour back into you everything you so freely pour into others. We love and appreciate you both more than words can express.
