Good afternoon! I've recently been getting notifications for this page. I moved to Texas 4.5 years ago but there was never anyone wanting to take over this page at that time, and it felt wrong to delete such a good thing. If there is a new leader or secretary who would like to utilize it now, please just let me know!

Evening , all!

First up, I know everyone has been itching for a meet-up since March. What better place to do that than a live music event right here in Old Town Wi******er! For those of you unfamiliar with the location, it's that nice rustic walking mall located in downtown. "Discover charming shops, delicious restaurants, centuries-old architecture, numerous historical landmarks, and museums waiting to be explored. Old Town Wi******er offers convenience, charm, and a warm welcome to all." With the lovely weather we've been granted lately, this area becomes even more enjoyable to visit.

On June 20 they're having an event called the Friday Night Live. "Live music will be performed at the Hable Street Parking lot starting at 5:45. Stable Roots, a reggae, soul, and island music band from Waynesboro, Virginia will be opening. Some of their members have toured all over the world and they are inspired by artists such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Dennis Brown. Following the performance from Stable Roots, headlining at 7:00 is Parrot Beach. They are a lively and fun Jimmy Buffet tribute band from Sparta, New Jersey. The five of them have been together for over ten years and will have you 'singing, laughing, and dancing on the streets.' In addition to live music by Stable Roots and Parrot Beach, there will be various street performers, acoustical performances, and more! New to the event this year, is the Shenandoah Arts Council and Wi******er Art Market. They will be setting up crafts and art for sale on both the north and south end."

Here is their website:

It is $10 at the door or $6.50 through advanced online purchase. For those of you who are nervous about online purchasing but would still like the discount, and cannot get assistance from a friend, let us know and maybe we can get together.

There is also the rest of that nice outdoor walking mall to explore. If you aren't interested in the event itself but would still like to visit, you're very welcome to!

Unwind and enjoy all Old Town Wi******er has too offer at Friday Night Live! Happening on the third Friday of every month during the summer, Friday Night Live is the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends, shop, dine and enjoy some great live music! The BRAND NEW Taylor Pavilion is the perfect…
