It’s not uncertainty, or lack of clarity, that frustrates most believers concerning the promises of God. Rather, it’s the pace of the promise that creates tension in the heart of a disciple. We want it now and on our terms.
If you’re like me, this is likely your confession, too:
God I like your promises,
but I don’t like your pace.
But here’s the beauty of our God…
He has more promises for us
than we have years to receive.
He has more blessings for our families
than we have hands to hold them.
He has more healing for our bodies
than we have breath in our lungs
He has more miracles for us
than we have memory to remember
He has more love for us
than our finite brains can comprehend.
He. Has. More.
If you find yourself caught somewhere between getting the promise and holding the promise find comfort in knowing the pace of the promise is not in vain. He has more and He’s in the waiting.
