On Juneteenth, we remember and celebrate the day when news of freedom reached enslaved African Americans in Texas, marking a significant moment in our nation's history. This day invites us to reflect on God's desire for justice, reconciliation, and the freedom found in Christ.

As a church family, we give thanks for the gifts, contributions, and faithful witness of Black Americans throughout history and in our communities today. May we continue to seek understanding, extend grace, and work toward a world that reflects God's love for all people.

"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." — Galatians 5:13
