To take with you this week...
The Beauty Way - Navajo (Dine)
Written By Paul J Howell
Today I will walk out, today everything evil will leave me,
I will be as I was before, I will have a cool breeze over my body.
I will have a light body, I will be happy forever,
nothing will hinder me.
I walk with beauty before me. I walk with beauty behind me.
I walk with beauty below me. I walk with beauty above me.
I walk with beauty around me. My words will be beautiful.

In beauty all day long may I walk.
Through the returning seasons, may I walk.
On the trail marked with pollen may I walk.
With dew about my feet, may I walk.

With beauty before me may I walk.
With beauty behind me may I walk.
With beauty below me may I walk.
With beauty above me may I walk.
With beauty all around me may I walk.

In old age wandering on a trail of beauty,
lively, may I walk.
In old age wandering on a trail of beauty,
living again, may I walk.
My words will be beautiful.
via Paul J. Howell.
There are other versions of this,
but this one I could cite my source.
Enjoy this week, as I take a break away from social media.
I will return to posting after the 13th.

Join Us Tomorrow!
Worship isn't just what we do inside a sanctuary on Sunday
—it’s how we live out God’s mercy every single day.
But gathering together recharges our batteries!
Watch for another post later today.

"Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good." — Romans 12:21

Evil can only tear down; it has zero power to create anything new. Goodness, on the other hand, is backed by resurrection power. Every time you choose patience over anger, or kindness over cynicism, you are stepping into the winning trajectory of God’s grace.

"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink." — Romans 12:20 🍞

Generosity is the ultimate "disarmant".
What is one small, practical way you can show unexpected kindness to someone you disagree with this week?

"Do not repay anyone evil for evil...
'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'" — Romans 12:17, 19
Did you know that letting go of revenge is actually a massive grant of freedom? When we try to settle scores, we carry a heavy weight we were never meant to hold. The Gospel relieves us of the burden of judgment. What grievance can you hand over to God today so you can walk lighter?

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering,
persevere in prayer." — Romans 12:12 📖
Which of these three encouragement checkpoints do you need to focus on most today: Hope, Patience, or Prayer?

.
We spent Sunday talking about taking up our cross and loving without a mask. But let’s be honest: by Monday morning, real life hits. Traffic, difficult coworkers, or a heavy inbox can make Paul’s call in Romans 12 feel daunting. Remember, grace isn't a reward for being perfect; it’s the source that fuels us when we feel running on empty. Where do you need an extra dose of God’s grace today? 🌿

What if the most radical thing we could do in a divided world is love without a mask?
Tomorrow morning, as we continue our Transformed Community: Life in the Spirit series, we’re tackling Romans 12:9–21. Paul gives us a fast-paced, high-stakes blueprint for authentic living: loving without hypocrisy, weeping with those who weep, blessing those who oppose us, and refusing to play by the world’s rules of retaliation.
Paired with Jesus’ bold call in Matthew 16 to take up our cross, we’ll explore how light and goodness ultimately defeat the darkness. Come reset your heart and worship with us!

Preparing to Gather Again
As this week comes to a close, take a deep breath
and give thanks for the ways God has sustained you.
Tomorrow morning, we gather again
to sing, pray, hear Scripture, and
encourage one another as the body of Christ.
Watch for another post later today, then...

"All-In" Without the Burnout

Paul calls us to serve with zeal and wholeheartedness.
But as we heard on Sunday, being "all-in"
doesn't mean running ourselves ragged
until we're worn out, no energy left.
Even Jesus regularly withdrew to quiet places to pray and rest.
Remember today: You are not the savior of the church—Jesus is.
Taking care of your physical, mental, and spiritual health
is a vital part of faithful discipleship.
