NDS (Nu Delta Sigma) is a Youth Ministry Society of youth-minded people who join together to equip each other to better serve youth as a group and individually in our current or eventual ministries. inistry is not done not done exclusively by youth ministers, but also by sponsors, volunteers, and other church staff members. Similarly, NDS is made up of both future youth ministers and those with a desire to guide and serve youth in any setting and want to be better equipped to work with youth in their own way. On campus, NDS works to equip future youth sponsors and youth ministers with creative ways to reach out to students and show them Christ’s love in a way that will make the students excited to come back for more. This includes our 8:48 Game Night (taking place each Wednesday at 8:48 p.m.) that is a fun chance to learn and play new and creative youth group games that will be very useful in all future youth work. We also hold occasional get-togethers on campus to help build community among NDS members and, of course, to have fun!! That’s what youth ministry is, right?!?! How does NDS currently serve youth? Off campus, NDS members work in a variety of churches and youth centers to minister weekly to students from varying cultures and backgrounds. NDS provides rides for CCU students to local ministries, which allows its members to serve consistently. Because each group will often be accompanied by a NDS Leadership Team Member along with peers or upperclassmen, even the first time at a new ministry won’t seem too foreign or scary. NDS wants to ensure that CCU’s Christian Service Hours are beneficial to not only the youth being served but to us, as students, doing the serving. What is NDS’s Mission Statement? Nu Delta Sigma will equip current and future youth workers to better connect with students and help them form or strengthen their Christian faith. NDS will attempt to achieve this through serving active ministries, building community between youth-minded servants, and introducing new ways to connect with students. How can I contact NDS?
