This morning we discussed John 4 and Acts 2 as it relates to our new mission statement. As a congregation newly merged with another congregation we are dedicated to living out our mission together to love God and to love our neighbor - in truth and action.

Good evening everyone! Over the past couple of months we have been reimagining what church looks like in our current world and situation. We started back in person at Easter and some of you returned and some of you stayed online. We have been doing our best to keep it together as a church. What has happened in our church has happened in many congregations and many have gone to other churches or stopped going at all. We know some are disappointed we haven't been online as well. The reason for that is:

God is up to something huge at Covenant and CUP. A few weeks ago we had another church approach us that has been in the same situation as us - impacted by COVID and not knowing what God wants them to do next. Joni and I have known them for a very long time and several of them have been running the food pantry for us since the spring. They asked if we would be interested in having their congregation merge with ours.

Over the past few weeks we have been discussing the merger and forming a leadership board of elders to lead this new group. It isn't fully set in stone but we are committed to meeting together for the next several weeks to make sure it's something that makes sense and so far it seems to be very obvious that God is in this.

I would love each of you that have not been back in person to prayerfully consider coming over the next few weeks and see what God is doing. We are starting at 10:30. If anyone needs a ride please let me know. I miss you guys and would love to have anyone that is wanting to reconnect and move forward with us to come see what the Lord will do. If you have any questions please give me a call tomorrow sometime.
