Metropolis of Chicago St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival Introduced in 1983, the St.

John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival provides Greek Orthodox teenagers the opportunity to express more about their faith through speech, poetry, essay writing, music, and iconography.

The Chicago Metropolis representatives did very well at the National Oratorical Festival in Dallas, Texas this weekend. Demetra Feradouros (SS Constantine & Helen, Palos Hills, IL) placed second in the Senior Speech Division, and Chris Zouras (Ascension of Our Lord, Lincolnshire, IL) placed first in the Junior Speech Division.

Congratulations to both!
