Today, on this National Day of Prayer,
I pause to honor the Divine Source of Life—
The Creator that breathes through all living things.
The same sacred energy that moved through the Ancestors,
the rivers, the sun, the soil, and the stars.

May we remember that peace is not weakness.
It is alignment.
It is the ability to remain rooted in love
even when the world feels heavy.

May joy return to the homes that have known sorrow.
May healing return to the hearts that have carried too much.
May clarity return to the minds overwhelmed by fear, confusion, and division.

I pray that we soften toward one another.
That we speak with intention.
That we move with compassion.
That we stop treating survival as the highest form of living
and begin remembering that we were created for balance, connection, purpose, and peace.

May the spirit of Ma’at guide us—
bringing truth where there has been deception,
order where there has been chaos,
and justice where there has been harm.

May love become louder than ego.
May wisdom become stronger than anger.
May community become greater than isolation.

I pray for protection over our elders,
guidance for our children,
strength for those carrying invisible burdens,
and restoration for every person trying to find their way back to themselves.

May our homes be filled with peace.
May our bodies be filled with wellness.
May our spirits be filled with light.

And may we never forget:
what we plant in thought, word, and action
becomes the legacy we leave behind.

Hotep.
Asé.
And so it is.
