Did you know? The world's tallest statue of Jesus isn't the famous one in Rio de Janeiro... it's standing proud in the breathtaking landscapes of Indonesia! 🙌✝️
👋 Say hello to Jesus Christ the Saviour (also known locally as Jesus Blessed Sibea-bea), located on Sibeabea Hill in Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. This massive white statue towers at an incredible 61 meters (200 feet) tall—making it over 20 meters taller than Christ the Redeemer in Brazil.
It was officially inaugurated on September 19, 2024, and now proudly holds the record as the tallest Jesus statue on the planet, overlooking the stunning volcanic Lake Toba with its arms wide open in blessing. 🏔️💙
✝️ It easily surpasses the previous record holder, the Christ the King statue in Świebodzin, Poland (which measured around 52.5 meters including its crown and mound).
✝️ Built as a powerful symbol of faith, hope, and unity, this engineering marvel sits amid lush green hills, winding roads, and serene waters—creating one of the most awe-inspiring views you'll ever experience.
⚡️ Did you know? Indonesia is home to the world’s largest Muslim population, with Christians forming a minority. Yet the country is widely known for its high level of tolerance and respect for different religions—a powerful example that peaceful religious coexistence is possible.

Whether you're drawn by its spiritual significance, the incredible architecture, or the chance to explore the natural beauty of Lake Toba, this is a destination that belongs on every traveler’s and believer’s bucket list.
Imagine standing at its base, feeling tiny yet uplifted as you take in the panoramic scenery. It's not just a statue — it's a beacon of inspiration in one of the most beautiful corners of Southeast Asia.
Lord, Our Redeemer, Have Mercy on us and bring peace in the world. Amen 🙏
