The Gospel Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation

After reading these scriptures, I'm glad Jesus took my place so that I can live and be free.

Romans 3:20 For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.

Psalms 143:2 Don’t put your servant on trial, for no one is innocent before you.

Job 9:2 “Yes, I know all this is true in principle. But how can a person be declared innocent in God’s sight?

1 John 1:8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.

Did you know that just because you became a follower of Jesus evil started following you?
Did you know that evil follow you and comes against you because it knows that you will be a disturbance to the kingdom of darkness because you pray, because you love, because you believe, because you trust God?

Although this thought came while reading
Psalm 11:2 The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right.

It made me consider

John 15:20 Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted Me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to Me, they would listen to you.

Many people today live the same way the people in these verses describe. What I mean by this is, Jesus was explaining to this crowd that the words He spoke came from God.

Let's consider closely what Jesus was doing. Jesus was revealing the fact that we are only messengers delivering good news. The message itself carries the necessities to the receivers.

We don't have to add anything, try to say things in our own words, and we don't have to understand a message we are only meant to deliver.

Holy Spirit will teach and give revelation to the receivers because before we show up to deliver because Jesus is drawing the receivers to Himself.

Read what the scriptures are saying.

John 7:15-18 The people were surprised when they heard Him. “How does He know so much when He hasn’t been trained?” they asked. So Jesus told them, “My message is not My own; it comes from God who sent Me. Anyone who wants to do the will of God will know whether My teaching is from God or is merely My own. Those who speak for themselves want glory only for themselves, but a person who seeks to honor The One Who sent him speaks truth, not lies.

Galatians 3:2 NLT
Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.

One Sunday morning my Grandmother Minnie Louise Davis sent me to Progressive Baptist Church in Chicago. She prepared me with her sweet words, "Sunday I'll help you get ready for Church." When that Sunday morning came she, "Go mingle with the Church."
I went. It was the Sunday School hour, and the message was about the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I have told this testimony many times, and today I found my testimony in Galatians 3:2 You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.

Our testimonies are written throughout the entire Bible. This is one of many I'm sharing.
The beautiful thing about finding your testimony in scriptures is how it first hits you like a pillow fist and then it settles so profoundly peacefully in your heart and mind.

Many don't follow the Bible because they don't understand it. Some are simply caught up and entangled with the cares of this life.

As creature of habit and desires, we go after taste good, feel good, and what we like.

No judging, yet I bring this up to ask: what if we can go after what's not totally satisfying at the moment just to have something eternally satisfying?

Galatians 3:23 Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the law. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed.

Heavenly Father, help us see past ourselves and fleshy pleasures. Open ours eyes long enough to make a decision that will shake off everything You have given us power over. Give us the strength to let go of a temporary world and grab hold onto the everlasting promises. In Jesus Name Amen.

Wood is used to form many things and servers many important purpose that changes lives. I want to describe three in particular.

The most important thing that is formed from wood is the cross. The cross serves as a reminder of the most important thing that took place in life over 2,000 years ago. It is a reminder of the blood that was shed for the remission of our sins.

Second is the tree: I have heard testimonies of those who would leave everything on the tree near their house before entering, refusing to bring any of the confusion and chaos of daily troubles in their homes that would disrupt the peace that they've received from God.

The last form that came to mind was a door. When we enter that door, we enter grace that gives us strength; that destroys old habits which have kept us bound to sin.

God opens doors no man can shut. According to Revelation 3:20 Jesus said, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.

You have to understand that the door is wisdom calling and grace waiting. Don't hesitate, move, because on the other side of that door are not problems that don't exist, but ones you bare alone.

If you confess you are saved, stop calling yourself a sinner. The difference between a sinner and one who sins is accepting salvation or choosing the sinful lifestyle, you can't do both.

Have you accepted Jesus or no? Are you bought with the ultimate price of the blood of Jesus or no? Do you truly believe or no?

By the conviction in my spirit, and because Christ died for me and TOOK my sins, I'm not trying to be: I am accept in the Beloved, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and by God's amazing grace through faith.

I can no longer claim to be a sinner, I have to say what God says and declare who God says I am. I encourage you to accept salvation with understanding that after receiving it, you now learn how to live it and live with that grace.

Stop trying to be saved and just be saved.

While listening to the Word, the thought came to mind about the children of Israel and they are addressed all the time. In particular, I'm addressing the from the messages of Moses.

Moses lived 120 years, and didn't die because of age or health. He lived through at least 4 generations, and addressed them as one whole generation, rather than 4.

In my early years of reading, I used to think of all the rebellion Israel and forgiveness of God. Later I learned that this is not one generation. Today I consider why they are addressed as one generation.

It's not about who they are, but the work God was doing through them to build the Kingdom of God on earth His people. This is how we come to understand how Jesus was a part of the works from the beginning.

Jesus said Matthew 4:17 ... Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Paul the Apostle delivering a related message says, Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

The focus is forgiveness

Forgiveness is the honest acknowledgment of wrongdoing and the vulnerable naming of any doubts about your self-worth that have resulted from feeling demeaned, and then making the choice to release yourself from resentment by forgiving the one who has harmed you. You decide not to return hurt for hurt, independent of whether the other person is even aware of your decision to forgive them.

This is not excusing what happened or engaging in some form of naive denial about it. True forgiveness requires the courageous self-awareness to tell the truth about what happened, how demeaned you feel, and what you are choosing to do about it—forgive.

Jesus knew all of this. His psychologically brilliant teaching on forgiveness cuts right to the heart of the matter. He said, “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:3).

He got it. He knew that the real root of resentment was not what the other person did, and it didn’t really have much to do with her or him as a person either. Sure, what the other person did was bad, but that is only a speck compared to the plank you are carrying around causing you to resent that person—feeling demeaned.

And Jesus knew that this was only a matter of perspective. As things look to you in your own eyes, you think you see the problem clearly, but the truth is your plank is completely preventing you from seeing the real problem at all.

Once you are able to see that the real problem you have is with yourself and not the other person, the possibility of genuine forgiveness is close at hand.

There is a song we sing at Impact Church that keeps ministering to my soul. This song, like many others draws the heart closer to God, makes room for testimony, and would be a beautiful sermon that so many need to hear.

This song is a teacher to some and a reminder to others that without Jesus we can't be saved, choose The Father, or move in the power of love.

Some people feel like they need to get themselves together before they can come to God. Some run from God because of judgment that causes them to feel shame. If they can't run to God, who can they run to?

The beginning of the song explains that the hurt the lost are feeling is not hidden because it's noticeable in their eyes.

The chorus teaches them that There's Only Love In The Heart Of God. He makes beauty from ashes.

The next part encourages the prodigal sons to run home to The Father, don't let fear keep you from Him.

Just around the end the song speaks about The Father’s love, He's not shaking His head, writing you off.

And to add a final touch to the end, the Bible says it pleased God that Jesus would suffer for us because He knew the outcome, that many would be saved.
