Young Couples of Makom at Temple Sholom Chicago Young Couples of Makom: The place for young(ish) Jew(ish) folks. Makom is a place for everyone but is home-based out of Temple Sholom of Chicago.

This is a group of young couples of Makom which is the home for 20s and 30s in the Jewish community. We are a fun, dynamic, and energetic group of young couples who come together monthly to celebrate and engage in a variety of social events. This club was been organized to give couples in their 20s and 30s a chance to get together, celebrate Judaism, and share in each other’s diverse experiences.

Our activities are always changing as new members continue to join and offer suggestions for events that anyone would enjoy. Some of our favorite recent events have included: Apple Picking, a camping trip, Comedy Club Night, Football party, Ice Skating, among many more activities! Young Couples have a special place as a part of the Temple Sholom family. Whether you are married, engaged, or in a dating relationship, we are all looking for a place to call home in our Jewish community, and many of us have found that in this group. We’ve created bonds in celebrating life, relationships, and our varied interests. We’ve made friends and formed connections with other groups in the Temple and Chicago communities. We are always seeking new people to join us! There is no fee to join our group, as events are planned by all of our members. Temple members and non-members are welcome. The Christkindl Market this month was a hit! Join us for the Makom and IOT Hannukah party next Wednesday the 20th.

Please RSVP by January 1 for the ice skating and lunch event planned for Saturday, January 7th!
