I read something the other day (The Bible) and it got me to thinking 🤔.
Eve’s curse was to have pain in childbirth, but still desire her husband after all those shenanigans and he’d rule over her. ADAM’s curse was to have to till the earth and struggle and sweat to grow food to provide for his wife and self. (Genesis 3:16-19)

Fast forward to today…

Women are all in, carrying the full brunt of that curse. But MEN are steady asking women to bear 50% of theirs… you know, that man who says he wants a traditional wife but ALSO wants her to contribute 50% (or more) of income, 50% of household expenses, 100% of child rearing and care and be 100% caretaker of him too?? That’s what I’d call a curse enhancer not curse breaker!

First of all, Jesus died to break the curse. So sir, don’t come telling me it’s my duty to submit to you when you haven’t submitted your raggedy theology to Christ, let less your eternal soul. Submit? Yeah okay.

Secondly, I will be doggone if Jesus broke me from the curse to then willingly submit to carrying half of yours.

Finally, “What are you bringing to the table?” will be firmly answered with “As soon as you build/show the established table and give me the means to dress it, I’ll let you know.”

Ladies, don’t let a man come quoting scripture to manipulate you into bearing half of his curse. You don’t have to carry yours and his too! The right man has been freed from his curse, is walking in abundance and gonna make sure you land in your “soft life/daughter of the King” phase.

Listen, when you read the Word with understanding AND the help of Holy Spirit, it becomes real life HELP and wisdom.

I’m just saying.

Please pray for the family of this fallen soldier. He’s the dear cousin of one of my FAMUly sisters.

Master Sgt. Tyler Simmons lost his life in his ‘Dream Job’ when a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq during a military mission . Tyler is remembered as ”a leader,”, He was just 28 years old and one of six U.S. service members aboard the aircraft who lost their lives.

Tyler was from Columbus, Ohio, and he entered Basic Training in December 2017. This would lead him to later serve as a boom operator assigned to the 166th Air Refueling Squadron, 121st Air Refueling Wing, Ohio Air National Guard, at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base near Columbus. His job was to help refuel other aircraft while they were flying so pilots could stay on long missions, He was laid to rest on April 10, 2026.

Tyler, you did all you could do. Now, it's time to rest.

I’m in a mood this morning.
I’m missing my two spiritual daughters who died at the hands of their abusive husbands.
So bear with me.

I really want to address the “pastors” and “spiritual leaders” who told them both that it was their duty to stay married.
The men, and even a few women, who convinced these ladies that God hating divorce somehow translated into God would hate them for leaving the husband.
Not once did these religious leaders ever hold either man accountable for breaking the covenant by hitting, cussing, assaulting and berating his wife.
Nope. In both cases, they told HER it was her fault for making him act like that AND it was her responsibility to change his behavior.

I was the ONLY person with a relationship with Holy Spirit, who told each of them they didn’t have to stay. I told each of them God does hate divorce but He didn’t and would never hate them. I told each, you shouldn’t have to choose between your salvation and your safety. I told her, and her, if you don’t want to divorce, then don’t BUT LEAVE until he’s safe enough for you to be with in the marriage. I told them you can’t counsel a demon out and you can’t pray abusive behavior off a person. THEY have to be willing to change. I told them, some men really think it’s okay to treat their wives like property because that’s what their church and religious upbringing taught them.

Unfortunately, both finally believed me but it was too late. One left but the physical damage took its toll and she passed from her injuries. The other was in the process of mind-shifting but he got to her first. They say it was a “medical incident” but everyone involved knows the truth.

Long story short:

I hope the Lord allows me to hear the specific conversations He has on Judgement Day with these religious leaders.

“So Rev. Joe Schmo, tell me why you thought it was okay to tell My daughter Shar it was her fault that he was screaming in her face. Care to explain the rationale behind ‘Just pray the pain away’? What about how you throughly convinced her that her intercession wasn’t strong enough, that was the reason he kept throwing her down the stairs. Want to elaborate?”

And

“So Apostle Soandso, you really thought it was My daughter Faye’s responsibility to stay in a marriage covenant that HE broke when he cheated on her throughout the marriage? You told her that she was the only reason he was sanctified as a pastor and preacher. Never mind you told her to stay after he actively tried to kill her THREE times? And THREE times she listened to you out of obligation and obedience, and stayed. You do know he succeeded in the fourth attempt? Is that why you didn’t show up at her funeral?”

Oh how these people are gonna try to wiggle their way out by “churchsplaining” God’s Word back to Him…

I hate religion.

I am beyond concerned about some people in the younger Black generation.
I had a conversation with a young person about some business.
I casually mentioned that travel to the Middle East (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, etc) is not really an option right now.
They said, “Why not?”
Before I could stop myself, I said, “Excuse me? What do you mean, ‘Why not?’”
“I don’t understand.”
“The WAR?!”
“What war?”
I literally had do a deep breathing exercise.

These are the same “kids” in their 20s and 30s who “don’t care about politics” and “I’m not really interested in that kind of stuff.”
But will itch and moan about groceries, gas and gorilla glue for their lace fronts being sky high.
This “child” had no idea there was an election last week. Let less that people expired prematurely due to violence so that they have the right to vote.
And what’s crazy?
These same “kids” will be fit to be tied if the SAVE ACT is passed and somebody tells them they can’t vote.

And you know who I fault?
US. The now elders, in our 50s and 60s, who didn’t take seriously the sacrifices Medgar, Malcolm, & Martin made. We didn’t teach them about Fred, Huey, Bobbie and Assata. We pushed Fannie, Diane & Angela to the peripherals of our conscience.
Why?
Because we were babies when they were in their prime?
Because each of them represented someone the same age as our parents, who made us go to church, school and work (and we “wasn’t gone make our kids do that like our folk did)?
Or.
Was it.
Because everyone I mentioned above was harassed, reviled, surveilled, terrorized, brutalized, incarcerated, and, some, unalived for the sake of uplifting their people.
Because we were too scared, lazy, indifferent ourselves to instill the fight.

So we chose the flight.
Our lack of respect for the work our ancestors did has led to our very next generation not understanding the sacrifices made for them to sit around and play XBox all day or scroll on Instagram all night.
This is where we are. A whole generation of Black people who don’t care. At. All. About what is happening in this country.
We are at WAR. Both externally and internally.
Maybe they will get it if bombs start hitting their favorite food spot.
Or, they can’t purchase a bundle of hair in the detention center…
