nd ...and better meet the needs of their growing child. Emphasis on the physical, emotional and cognitive stages of ages 0 to 4; 5 to 6; 7 to 9; and 10 to 13,
P 9-1-1, THE EARLY YEARS, offers strategies for building self awareness and esteem in the growing child, cultivating empathy for others, and helps parents identify and choose the most effective parenting style for their individual children. PARENTING 9-11, ADOLESCENCE-- Adolescence is a period of such intense chaos that anything bringing a sense of "order" is, believe it or not, welcomed by both the parent AND the adolescent. PARENTING 9-1-1, ADOLESCENCE, provides that order by helping the parent understand the "needs" met by their adolescent's seemingly illogical behavior, and providing SPECIFIC tools for establishing the proper balance of authority in the home. P 9-11, ADOLESCENCE is particularly effective when worked in concert with YOUTH REBIRTH. In this way, both caregiver and child are coming into greater awarenesses together. However, as a stand alone program, P 9-1-1 is still an extremely effective system for parents seeking more effective home management skills. BLACK FEATHER FORUM-- Partnering with local clergy, educators, and other service organizations, Black Feather Forum strives to be a "Referral Service", maintaining a network of services, agencies, counselling, training, emergency shelter and more for the way too many young people making their life on the street, OR just needing direction.... like we all do! GEN-BRIDGE-- A generation bridging theatrical program where high schoolers are taught to write, produce and perform theatrical productions for the entertainment of nursing home residents. Through this inter-generational exposure, both parties are benefited and enriched with much needed understanding and connection.
