If you have ever served as a member of the New Mt. Moriah Choir, we would be honored to have you join us as we come together to celebrate the life and legacy of our beloved brother.

It is with profound sadness that New Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church announces the passing of our beloved brother, Rev. Lorenzo Rush.

Rev. Rush was a servant of God whose life reflected humility, compassion, and an unwavering love for Christ and His people. His ministry, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched countless lives, and his legacy of faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

While our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in God’s promise:

“Well done, thou good and faithful servant…”
Matthew 25:21

We ask that you keep the Rush family, friends, and all who loved him lifted in your prayers during this difficult time. May God surround them with His peace, strength, and unfailing love.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
Psalm 116:15
