Hi Powerzone parents!

Jesus knew that the cross was before Him. He knew it was going to be the hardest and most painful thing anyone would ever have to endure. He felt the weight of it. So, He went to His Father in prayer. He poured out His heart to God. He didn’t want to go to the cross — but He submitted to the will of God and trusted God to see Him through.

Isn’t it incredible to know that God cares about us so much that He wants us to bring all of our worries to Him? So, what’s worrying you? Have you taken it to your Father? He wants to hear it all. He wants to know your heart. So, go to Him.

Hi Powerzone Parents!

Jesus wasn’t too popular with the Pharisees. Jesus obeyed the law of God, but He refused to follow the rules and regulations the Pharisees had made. But there was one Pharisee who was curious about Jesus. He thought that maybe – just maybe – Jesus was who He claimed to be. So, one night, under the cover of darkness, he snuck out to meet with Jesus. Nicodemus – like the other Pharisees – believed they were going to Heaven because they were obedient to God, but Jesus set him straight. Only those who have received the grace of God and have been born again will get to be with Him in Heaven.

Big Idea: Heaven is for those who become born-again followers of Jesus.

Hey, Power Up Kids Parents!

We are starting a new series heading into our Christmas season and we look forward to sharing a lot of great bible encounters based around the birth of Jesus.

Zechariah and Elizabeth prayed God would bless them with a child for decades. But as the years passed by their hope began to run dry. They were far too old. It would take a miracle. And that’s exactly what God did. He gave them a son and instructed the elderly couple to name their son John, which means “God is gracious.” Can you imagine their joy? Can you imagine their awe at the grace of God? But it gets even better! See, even from birth, John had a special purpose. This gift of God’s grace was to proclaim the ultimate gift of God’s grace – Jesus!

Bible Story: Zechariah and Elizabeth
Big Idea: God is gracious, so we can find joy in the gift of His Son.
Bible Verse: Psalm 148:8, The Lord is gracious and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

Hey Parents! Don't miss all the amazing things happening in our Children's ministry. Mark your calendars for these dates and make sure your kids come ready to have a great time.

Notice the 21st of November is a Tuesday. We are having Service on that day rather than on Wednesday due to Thanksgiving.

If your kids have not been able to be a part of the Christmas play practice it's not too late. We are still looking for kids to sing with our kid's choir. Talk to Mrs. Whitney, Mrs. Jess, or Mrs. Amber and find out more!

Yesterday we finished our FAB FIVE series in Powerzone talking about Daniel! This Sunday we will begin a new series of Space Ninjas vs Pirate Squirrels and will be discussing Shadrach Meshach and Abednego. We hope your child joins us next Sunday for a whole lot of fun!
