Today we need to have a direct, uncomfortable conversation about a cultural sin that is quietly rotting the foundation of too many believers' faith. It is a lie packaged as "identity," and it’s being fed to us by the world every single day.
The lie is simple, that the color of your skin dictates the content of your heart, the value of your soul, or your capacity to love.

We hear it everywhere. A year ago, a Black man at my job told me to my face that because I am White, I couldn’t possibly care about the welfare of Black people. Think about how deeply broken, uneducated, and brainwashed that mindset is. I looked at that statement and thought about the melting pot of my own family, a family that holds almost every race on this planet under one roof and realized the world is trying to tell me I can't love my own flesh and blood because of a lack of melanin or we are a different race. It is one of the dumbest lies circulating today, and too many people are living it.

Let’s stop listening to culture and start looking at the Creator. Nowhere in the pages of Scripture does God tell us that being White, Black, Asian, or any other race makes you a fraction better or worse than anyone else. In fact, God says the exact opposite.

The New Testament blows the doors off of racial supremacy and segregation.

"And He has made from one blood every nation of mankind to dwell on all the face of the earth..." Acts 17:26

We all share the same bloodline. We all carry the same divine image. If you are White, you are not superior to someone who is Black. If you are Black, you are not superior to someone who is White.

When the Apostle Paul wrote to a deeply divided culture, he leveled the playing field entirely in Galatians 3:28.

"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

There is no segregation at the foot of the cross. We cannot call ourselves Christians, we cannot claim to follow Jesus, if we secretly harbor the belief that our race makes us special, or if we choose to segregate our hearts and our communities.

If you want the real equalizer, look at the cross. We are ALL sinners who have fallen short of the glory of God. No race is exempt from sin, and no race has a monopoly on grace. There will be no segregated sections in Heaven. There will be no fast pass lane into the Kingdom based on your skin color.

Every single one of us from every tongue, tribe, and nation will stand on the exact same level ground before the throne of Jesus Christ.

If God, the Creator of the universe, does not judge by race, separate by race, or alter His love based on race... who do we think we are?
You are not better than God. You do not know better than Him. Holding onto racial pride or racial division is nothing short of idolatry.

If you love God like you claim to, then it is time to drop the worldly brainwashing. Stop the hate. Stop letting culture dictate who you are allowed to care about. Love one another as God our Creator has called us to unconditionally, fiercely, and as one family under Heaven.

Most of our sleepless nights are spent wrestling with two small words. They loop in our minds like a broken record, stealing our peace and mapping out worst case scenarios.
Those two words are: "What if?"

What if the medical report comes back positive?
What if the finances don't stretch until the end of the month? What if I fail? What if they leave? What if everything I’ve built falls apart?
"What if" is the native language of fear.

Fear takes an unknown future and populates it with monsters. It demands that we know the outcome before we take the step, trapping us in a prison of anxiety where we try to control variables we were never meant to carry. Fear looks at the storm and says, "What if I drown?"
But God does not call us to live in the prison of "What if." He calls us to the freedom of a different pair of words.

Faith doesn't say "What if." Faith says: "Even if."
We see the ultimate demonstration of this shift in the Old Testament, in the book of Daniel. Three young Hebrew men Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stand before a raging furnace and a furious king. King Nebuchadnezzar gives them an ultimatum, bow down to my idol, or burn.
Listen to their response in Daniel 3:17-18.

"If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it... But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods."

Notice they didn't play the "What if" game. They didn't whisper among themselves, "What if the wood is too hot? What if God doesn't show up? What if we misheard Him?"

They knew God could save them. But their faith wasn't tied to the outcome; it was tied to the Character of the One they served. Their faith said, "God is able. But even if He chooses a different path, He is still God, He is still good, and He is still with us."

Moving from "What if" to "Even if" doesn't mean we stop feeling afraid. It means fear no longer gets the final vote.

“What if" asks for a guarantee. "Even if" trusts. “What if" focuses on the severity of the fire. "Even if" focuses on the sovereignty of the Father. “What if" keeps us paralyzed on the edge of the furnace. "Even if" gives us the courage to walk through it, knowing there is a Fourth Man walking in the flames alongside us.

When we trade our "What ifs" for "Even ifs," the atmosphere of our hearts changes. You can look at the uncertain future and say.

"What if the worst happens? Even if it does, my God will sustain me. Even if the path is painful, His grace will be sufficient. Even if I lose everything else, I cannot lose His love."

Stop exhausting yourselves trying to answer every "What if" that the world throws at you. You cannot predict tomorrow, but you know the One who holds tomorrow.
Let’s lay down the exhausting weight of the unknown today. Let’s trade our anxiety for assurance. When the enemy whispers, "What if?", look him in the eye and answer with the fierce, unshakable declaration of the believer:
"Even if."

We have to admit a hard truth, we are often the biggest roadblock in our own lives.

In Matthew 16:24, Jesus gives us a command that flies directly in the face of everything the world teaches us. He says, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."

Why did He tell us to deny ourselves? Because we have a desperately hard time willingly yielding our selfish ambitions, our desires, and our need for control over to God.

The world looks at the word "surrender" and sees defeat. Culture tells you that giving up control is a sign of weakness. But I am standing here to tell you from personal experience: I have never felt more powerful than when I finally surrendered.

That power doesn't come from me. It doesn't come from my talent, my strength, or my intellect. It comes entirely from who is inside of me. True power is found when we empty ourselves so that Christ can fill us.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." Galatians 2:20

Look around today. We see a generation paralyzed by fear and cowardice. So many are lacking the courage to face the dangers of this world's attacks. People are gripped by the difficulty of walking away from the lust of the flesh. The agonizing pain of losing friends or family members because of their faith. The relentless opposition from people being used by the enemy to shut their mouths. But people we were not given a spirit of fear!

Daily I make a choice, and I challenge you to make it with me. I choose to stand.
I choose to stand in steadfast faith, fully dressed in the armor of God. I can stand boldly because I know a secret that changes everything: The battle is not mine. It is the Lord's. And the best part? The victory is already won. The tomb is empty!

So when the world threatens you, when temptation knocks, and when opposition rises, you look them in the eye and declare the truth of Psalm 27:1.

"The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?"

Stop standing in your own way. Step aside, surrender your control, put on your armor, and watch the Lord fight for you.

On this Memorial Day, we gather to pause, look back, and remember. John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

In the hustle of our daily lives, it is easy to get caught up in the immediate the screens in front of us, the tasks of the week, and the fleeting worries of tomorrow. But today, the calendar calls us to a higher, more sacred purpose to honor the men and women who gave everything for the sake of others.

Scripture reminds us in Greater love has no nobler expression than this: that a person would lay down their life for their friends.
The individuals we honor today did not wear the uniform for fame, wealth, or accolades. They were ordinary citizens sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, neighbors, and friends who stepped forward to answer a call greater than themselves. They chose a path of service, knowing the profound risks, because they believed in the ideals of freedom, justice, and the protection of those they loved.
They gave up their tomorrows so that we could have our todays.

When we look at the quiet rows of markers in our national cemeteries, or when we pause in silence today, we are reminded that freedom is never free. It has a name, a face, and a story. It is paid for by the brave who stood the watch, who faced the battle, and who did not return.

But Memorial Day is not merely about mourning a loss; it is about recognizing a legacy. It is a debt of gratitude that we can never fully repay, but it is a debt we must never forget.

How, then, do we honor a sacrifice so profound? We Remember Explicitly. We speak their names. We tell their stories to the next generation so that the flame of their memory never flickers out.

We Support the Living. We stand by the families left behind the gold star mothers, fathers, spouses, and children who carry the quiet, heavy burden of sacrifice every single day.

Today I pray to God thanking him for these men and women who paid the ultimate price.

Heavenly Father, we thank You today for the lives of the brave men and women who laid down their lives for this nation. We ask that You comfort the families who still grieve their absence. May we never take our freedom for granted, and may our lives reflect a deep gratitude for the immense price that was paid on our behalf. Keep us united, keep us grateful, and keep us mindful of the true cost of peace. Amen

If we are being completely honest with ourselves, most of us as Christians in our past know exactly what it feels like to stand on the outside looking in.

Maybe you’ve felt it in your personal life, your career, or your relationships. But there is a deeper, quieter kind of isolation we’ve all shared. It’s that spiritual ache standing out in the cold, looking through the window at a world that seems to have it all figured out, while we are left holding nothing but questions.

We’ve all been there. Looking for answers in places that only left us more confused. Looking for grace from a world that usually demands perfection. Hungry and thirsty, trying desperately to fill a void in our souls, only to find that nothing we chased could ever truly quench that thirst or feed that hunger.

It is an exhausting way to live. In fact, many of us reached a point where we were completely set to give up. We were ready to let the darkness win, ready to accept that maybe the warmth inside just wasn't meant for us.

But scripture tells us a different story about who God is when we hit rock bottom.

Just when all hope seemed lost, Love didn't just look at us through the window and pity us. Love walked to the entrance and threw the door wide open.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells a parable about a great banquet. When the original guests made excuses not to come, the master of the house gave a radical command to his servants.

"Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full." (Luke 14:21, 23)

That is who we were. We were the ones out on the dusty roads, the ones who didn't fit the script, the ones who felt spiritually bankrupt. We didn't earn a seat at the table. We didn't buy our way in.

Jesus saw your hunger. He saw your thirst. And He didn’t hand you a list of rules to follow before you could come inside. Instead, He gave an invitation that changes everything. He looks at you today, just as He did two thousand years ago, and says.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

He says: "Come to my table. Sit down and be set free." When you sit at the table of Jesus, the starvation ends. In John 6:35, Jesus declares, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

Think about what happens when you sit down at a table with someone. You are no longer a stranger. You are no longer on the outside. You are a guest of honor.

At the table of Jesus, your past is swallowed up by his mercy. Your striving is replaced by His grace. Your chains of shame and anxiety fall to the floor.

You don't have to stand on the outside looking in anymore. The door is unlocked. The feast is prepared. The host is calling your name.
If you are tired of being hungry, if you are done trying to quench your own thirst, hear the voice of Love today. Step through the door. Pull up a chair. Sit down, leave your heavy burdens at the door, and finally be set free.

We’ve all seen the guy. Maybe you’ve encountered him in a bustling city alley, or maybe you’ve just seen him in the movies, the guy standing by the open trunk of his car, waving you over to look at "designer" handbags. From a distance, they look pristine. The logos are there, the stitching looks okay, and the price is a fraction of the retail cost.

But if you know what the genuine article looks like, and if you step just a little bit closer, you can see it for what it really is, a cheap knockoff. It’s fake leather, flimsy hardware, and a counterfeit name.

It’s easy to laugh at a knockoff purse. But there is a tragedy happening all around us today. Millions of people are buying cheap knockoffs, and they aren't paying with cash, they are paying with their eternal souls.

If you look across the landscape of global spirituality, something incredible becomes obvious. In some way, shape, or form, almost every major religion on the planet acknowledges Jesus. They can't ignore Him. He is too massive a figure in human history to leave out. But instead of accepting Him for who He truly is, they try to repackage Him. They become like that guy selling counterfeits out of the trunk of a car.

Look at what the world does with Jesus. Islam holds Jesus, known as Isa, in high esteem, calling Him one of the most important prophets of God but they deny He is the Son of God who died on the cross.

The Baha'i Faith views Jesus merely as one of many "Manifestations of God," putting Him on a level playing field with other historical teachers.

Judaism refuses to recognize Him as the Messiah or divine, reducing Him to a mere man and a teacher the very teacher the religious elite were so afraid of that they demanded His ex*****on.

Hinduism often views Jesus as just an avatar of God, a moral teacher, or an enlightened yogi.

Buddhism acknowledges Him as a significant historical figure, often labeling Him a Bodhisattva or an enlightened being.

Isn't it fascinating? They all want a piece of Jesus. They all want to put His name on their product to give it value. But here is the catch, while every other religion tries to find a place for Jesus in their teachings, the Bible does not return the favor.

The Word of God doesn't look at the gods or leaders of other religions as alternative paths to truth. In fact, Scripture is incredibly blunt about this. In 1 John 2:22, the Apostle John writes.

"Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is an antichrist who denies the Father and the Son."

Logically, this tells us something profound. If every major system of belief feels compelled to acknowledge Jesus in some way, he is kind of important, wouldn't you say?

Even the counterfeits prove the value of the original nobody bothers to manufacture a fake dollar bill; they only counterfeit what holds ultimate value.

But a knockoff Jesus cannot save you. A "good teacher" Jesus cannot forgive your sins. An "enlightened prophet" Jesus cannot conquer the grave or offer you eternal life.

It is time to stop walking around content with a cheap, counterfeit faith. It is time to step away from the trunk of the car and get ahold of the genuine Jesus. The true, living, resurrected Jesus is not a compromise. He is not one option among many. He is exactly who the Bible says He is, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Let’s lay down the knockoffs today, and cling to the real Savior.

The title of today’s message is simple, but it might just change the way you face every battle in your life: Run, Believer, Run.

We all know that iconic moment in cinema history. Little Jenny looks at her friend, who is being chased down by bullies, and she screams at the top of her lungs, "Run, Forrest, Run!"

In that moment, Forrest didn't run because he was a coward. He ran to escape the trap of the enemy. And as he ran, something miraculous happened those heavy leg braces flew off his legs, and he discovered a strength and a speed he never knew he possessed.

A lot of times, the world tells us that running away is a sign of weakness. But when it comes to the trials, the temptations, and the troubles of this life, running can actually be your greatest act of faith.

Proverbs 18:10 tells us “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe."

Notice what the scripture says. It doesn't say the righteous stand out in the open and try to fight the storm in their own strength. It says they run.
When trouble knocks on your door, you don’t have to stay there and argue with it. You can say, "Run, Andrew, run!", or insert your own name right there. Run! But here is the secret of the believer: We do not run out of fear; we run out of victory.

There is a massive difference between running from something and running to Someone.
When you run from fear, you are letting the trouble chase you. But when you run to the Father, you are running toward the One who has already won the battle. You are running to the Strong Tower. You aren't trying to earn the victory; you are resting in the victory that was already bought for you at the Cross.

When the enemy brings anxiety, don't sit there and marinate in it. Run to the Father in prayer. When the enemy brings lack or confusion, don't try to figure it out all on your own. Run to the Word of God.

Just like Forrest Gump, the moment you start running toward the Father, the heavy braces of weight, worry, and shame that the world strapped onto you will begin to break off. You will find your stride. You will find your peace.

The next time trouble rears its ugly head, don't panic. Just look at that situation, remember who your Father is, and tell yourself: “Run into the tower. The victory is already mine.”

Remember we don't have to face the bullies of this life in our own strength. The name of God is a strong tower. He gives us the wisdom and the quick feet to run straight to him the moment trouble arises, knowing that in his presence the victory is already won. In Jesus' name.

There is a spiritual custody battle happening right now for your soul, and the Bible cuts straight through the noise to ask a brutal, uncomfortable question. Who’s your daddy?
We like to think we are independent. We like to think we are the masters of our own destiny. But scripture makes it clear that we are all serving someone.

On one hand, you have Satan. Forget the folklore of the red creature with a pitchfork. The Bible exposes him as a brilliant deceiver, a murderer, and a thief who wants to corrupt everything good in your life. Jesus in John 8:44 drops this truth bomb.

"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

If your life is defined by deceit, rebellion, and a rejection of God, scripture says you are speaking his native language. You are carrying out his desires.

On the other hand, you have Jesus. He is perfectly perfect the First and the Last, the Son of God. He is the very definition of love and compassion. Though He held all the power of heaven, He chose the form of a servant. He lived a sinless life, set the ultimate standard of purity, and willingly took your place on a brutal cross. He offered grace to the broken and forgiveness to the repentant.

It boggles the mind to see how many people willingly take the ultimate gamble with their eternity. If there is even a fraction of a chance that the Bible is true, that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are real, that the devil is real, and that hell is a real consequence for sin why would you take that risk? It’s a selfish and un intelligent choice. Why let pride, or the temporary pleasures of the flesh, cost you your eternity?

People often reject God because they can’t fully comprehend Him. But think about it, one of the things that makes God God is that our finite minds can never understand Him 100%. If we could fit Him into our human comprehension, He wouldn't be big enough to save us.

Imagine being drowning in a debt you could never afford to pay, facing absolute ruin. Now imagine someone steps up, writes a check, and clears your name completely but you refuse to accept it out of stubborn pride and tare up the check.

That is exactly what happens when you reject Christ. Your debt has been paid on the cross. The transaction is finished. Yet, people still run back to the father of lies.

There is a Father who loves you. He died for you, and He wants to welcome you into paradise. It’s time to stop running to your John 8:44 daddy. Stop serving a liar who wants to destroy you, and come home to the Father who gave everything to save you.

Who is your daddy today? Choose the one who paid your debt.
