When a man claims to be Jesus and opens fire, America needs more than another headline.

The White House gunman has been identified as Nasire Best, a 21-year-old who reportedly claimed to be Jesus Christ.

Yes, mental health matters. But this moment should also remind us that spiritual warfare is real. Some bo***ge is deeper than therapy alone can reach.

America doesn’t just need more news coverage, debates, or opinions. America needs prayer, discernment, and the power of God again.

Pray for this nation. 🙏

Weber Charcoal Grills are an all around top notch grill. Especially for camping! It’s my family’s go to!

Do you have a Weber and do you prefer charcoal or gas?

Kayak fishing taught me that clutter is expensive.

Not just annoying.

Expensive.

I used to take way more gear than I needed.

Extra rods.
Extra tackle.
Extra tools.
Extra “just in case” stuff.

And in a small kayak, every extra thing becomes pressure.

It crowds your space.
It slows your movement.
It steals your peace.
It makes simple things harder.

And over time, I lost thousands of dollars in gear.

Not because I didn’t have enough.

Because I carried too much.

That preached to me.

A lot of people are not drowning because the devil is powerful.

They are drowning because their life is too cluttered.

Too many voices.
Too many opinions.
Too many distractions.
Too many backup plans.
Too much pride.
Too much noise.

And Jesus is not asking you to add more.

He is calling you to lay some things down.

The kayak taught me this:

You cannot move in peace while carrying what God told you to release.

Some losses are not attacks.

Some losses are mercy.

God will let unnecessary things fall overboard if they are keeping you from obedience.

Travel lighter.

Follow closer.

Obey faster.

Faithless prayer is like casting a line with no bait.

You may throw it far.
You may hold the rod right.
You may sit there all day.

But nothing is drawn to an empty hook.

Prayer is not just words in the air.
Prayer is trust reaching toward God.

The Bible says the one who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.

That means faith is not optional.
Faith is the bait.

You can say, “Lord, heal me,”
but doubt His goodness.

You can say, “Lord, lead me,”
but refuse to obey.

You can say, “Lord, provide,”
but never trust Him enough to cast again.

Here is the truth nobody wants to say:

Some prayers are not unanswered.
They were never mixed with faith.

God is not moved by empty religious motion.
He is pleased by faith.

So don’t just cast words.

Cast trust.
Cast surrender.
Cast expectation.

Because when prayer is joined with faith, heaven responds.

A kayak can flip faster than your pride can react.

One wrong lean.
One hidden stump.
One strong current.
One wake from a boat.
One moment of distraction.

That is why a PFD is not optional when you are on a kayak.

It does not matter how good you can swim.
It does not matter how calm the water looks.
It does not matter how many times you have been out before.

A personal flotation device is not there because you plan to fail.

It is there because wisdom prepares before trouble comes.

And honestly, that preaches.

Because in the same way, baptism is not a decoration for the Christian life. It is not a religious photo moment. It is not just something we “add on” later when it feels convenient.

The Bible says:

“For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.”
— Galatians 3:27

When you go down into the waters of baptism, you are not just getting wet.

You are publicly identifying with Jesus.
You are putting on Christ.
You are being buried with Him.
You are rising to walk in new life.
You are saying, “My old life is not my covering anymore. Christ is.”

A PFD marks you as someone prepared for the water.

Baptism marks you as someone who has put on Christ.

One protects your body in the water.
The other declares your life belongs to Jesus.

So wear your PFD.
Use wisdom.
Protect your life.
And if you have believed the gospel but have never been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, stop treating obedience like an accessory.

Get in the water.

Faith. Family. Fishing.
Champions Fishing

Question: Do you wear your PFD every time you kayak, or only when the water looks dangerous?

The Danger of the slow drift will destroy you.

The drift is slow.

The drift is silent.

The drift is deadly.

You do not wake up and leave God.

You drift.

You drift when you stop reading your Bible.

You drift when you settle for powerless religion.

A boat drifts when the captain sleeps.

A Christian drifts when they stop fighting.

Read your Bible.

Hebrews 2 gives a terrifying warning.

We must pay attention to the truth.

We must not drift away.

If you neglect this great salvation, you will sink.

You cannot survive on just a Sunday sermon.

You must drop a heavy anchor today.

You must tie yourself to the pure Word of God.

You must refuse to let the current move you.

Click the share button right now to wake up a believer who is silently drifting into powerless religion.

You may not be fighting a generational curse.

You may be fighting a rusty spiritual tackle box.

Your habits are tackle.
Your media is tackle.
Your hidden choices are tackle.
Your daily compromises are tackle.

And rusted gear cannot catch anything clean.

Here is the part most people miss:

When you ignore the rust, your family feels it.

You cannot lead your house while feeding your spirit junk.

Clean out the box.
Cut off the poison.
Protect the atmosphere of your home.

Your family does not need a passive man.

They need a Spirit-filled leader.
