I heard someone say,
“Your flesh doesn’t care about eternity… because it’s not going with you.”
Your flesh doesn’t care about your calling.
It doesn’t care about the prayers you prayed this morning.
It doesn’t care about the tears you cry after you said, “This is the last time.”
It just wants relief.
Comfort.
Something to quiet the craving.
It will tell you,
“It’s not that serious.”
“God knows your heart.”
“You’ve been good all week.”
“One more time won’t hurt.”
But here’s the truth you already feel deep down:
Your flesh won’t stand before God.
Your soul will.
This isn’t about fear.
And it’s not about striving to be perfect.
It’s about remembering that eternity is real.
Heaven is real.
And the small compromises we normalize shape the person we’re becoming.
Grace is not permission to keep feeding the very thing that’s warring against your spirit.
Mercy is not approval of patterns God is trying to break.
Love does not cancel accountability. It makes transformation possible.
You don’t need another diet.
You don’t need more willpower.
You need surrender.
Surrender in the moment the craving rises.
Surrender when the excuse feels logical.
Surrender when your flesh is loud but the Spirit is whispering.
Temporary pleasure has never given lasting peace.
And deep down, you know that.
Your flesh may scream.
But your soul is eternal.
You are not too far gone.
Now is not the time for shame.
It’s the time for surrender. 💗
