Lake Norman Lutheran Church

Lake Norman Lutheran Church "Calm in the Chaos - Joy in Christ's Presence" Our Lord teaches us to pray, praise and give thanks . . . Grace is the emphasis. We seek to be life-long learners.

We pray for one another and for community needs, for those suffering or in any need, for those in authority, and so many more. We are confident our prayers are heard and answered because of the saving work of Jesus Christ. Our Lord teaches us to commit to worship that matters . . . Essentials of worship are the tangible ways God connects to us: Holy Baptism, Holy Communion, and the Bible. While Lu

therans will find our worship familiar and reverent, services will be welcoming for all. Our Lord teaches us to be a caring Christian community . . . We practice caring for those in need. Passionately following Jesus' teaching, we strive to see Him as we look to our neighbor. When we see a need, we respond with compassion. Our Lord teaches us to be a congregation of generous Christians . . . We value God-directed giving of our time and financial resources. We seek to use the gift of our time and abilities to make better the Lake Norman community our neighbors as well as our world. We go to the Bible for the best ways to do these things. Our Lord calls us to follow Him and make disciples. . . We believe the truth of God's teachings and His story of salvation which is the Bible. We value knowledge of the Bible and its applications for life.

To the members of LNLC, for the safety of those preparing the church for Sunday and those who may be attending and based on the existing ice conditions, the continued below freezing temperatures and the expected snowfall we regretfully will not have services this coming Sunday February 1. We hope everyone can stay safely at home and provide prayers for those who must travel. The chili cookout will be rescheduled.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Mark

John McCurdy Fund

For any that are aware or unaware, John McCurdy has gone through life altering changes over the past several months. An illness that led to quadruple amputations. John’s family & friends working in conjunction with LNLC, have been raising funds to help with home renovations, motorized wheelchair, mobility equipment, ramps and other needs not covered by insurance.
John is currently working on continued healing and prosthetics. With a “Never Give Up” attitude, John continues to work towards some sense of normalcy again.
Please feel free to donate and/or pray for John and his family during this time. You may use the QR code or donate button below.

Thank you for the love, support and donations for John.

Blessings,
Lake Norman Lutheran Church

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:35‭-‬37

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Matthew 5:3‭-‬8 NIV
