Shield A Badge With Prayer, Rowan County Sheriff's Office Chaplain Michael Taylor & Chaplain in Training Michael Paul Taylor. This is accomplished in several ways.

Knowing the dangers and hazards that Law Enforcement Officers and other Emergency Responders deal with, Shield A Badge With Prayer seeks to promote prayer support for their protection. It also seeks support prayer for the officers to have the knowledge to make right decisions and take the right action in their line of work

The men and women that this program supports, puts their lives on the line

every day. It is the mission of Shield A Badge With Prayer to show them that they are important to the safety of the public and are supported by the many members of this ministry. It is also meant to show that through this ministry, these officers are offered a means to reach peace of mind and heart that is often needed after dealing with the difficulties of their daily duties. This ministry provides Bibles, books of scripture that closely relate daily duties, prayer partners that provide more personal support with cards sent to individual officers showing support and also if needed, one on one support from the Chaplain’s from the different agencies.

Happy 73rd birthday to my amazing father. I am so blessed to have you as a father, mentor, & friend. You are the best Father & Pawpaw. I love you and I am so thankful for all the talks & adventures we have had. I hope today is filled with many blessings as you bless so many daily. Love being like my father. God blessed me with a godly dad to guide me in my life. He’s the best mentor when I have questions about God and the Bible. My mother has taught me to love everyone and also share God’s love. They both are true blessing to me, my wife, & sons, and so many others.
I am blessed to be part of the Shield a Badge ministry to see it continue for many years to come. We love being able to pray for each officer and their families. Thank you Rowan County Sheriff’s Office for the upcoming fundraiser. We appreciate everyone who supports our ministry.

For many decades, Chaplain Taylor has been the Chaplain at our department and over the Shield a Badge program. He always greets everyone with a smile and makes sure we are stocked up on doughnuts. (It’s true, we love them.) He never hesitates to testify about his faith and offer prayers to us when we need them. We are incredibly thankful for him and his continued service to help others. His son, who is also Chaplain Taylor, is a huge delight to have and a tremendous help at our Landis office.
Remember to mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 22 from 7am- 2pm for some delicious food to raise money for the Shield a Badge program.

Update: Thank you to everyone who came out and donated! We had a fantastic turnout even though it was cold and rainy. Our guys and gals did an awesome job cooking and we had one that worked all night and stayed during the entire fundraiser to help. We really have the best people! Thank you again!

Mark your calendars to have breakfast and lunch with us on Wednesday, March 22, 2023! Proceeds go to Shield a Badge With Prayer, which is overseen by Chaplain Taylor. He has done an immense amount for us throughout the decades. 7am- 2pm in the Sheriff's Office parking lot. We hope to see you there!
